Sunday's Front Page NFL Picks (Sep 30)
    Cleveland Browns +4 vs Ravens

    Game Time: 09/30/2007 01:00 PM -
    By: Ben Burns | sportspic.com

The Browns may be better than anyone thought, and their home field advantage has worked well against the Ravens in recent years. Take the points and Cleveland this Sunday.

After looking terrible in their opener, the Browns traded Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson inherited the starting quarterback role. The Browns have responded positively to the move, beating the Bengals outright and rallying for a cover at Oakland last week.

Although trailing the Steelers at the moment, the 2-1 Ravens remain a legitimate contender to repeat as division champions. However, they're a bit banged up right now and they haven't shown an ability to "win big" as of yet. All three of their games have been decided by a touchdown or less and last week they beat Arizona, in Baltimore, by only three points. They're 0-3 ATS on the season and lost their lone road game outright. That Week 1 loss dropped them to a dismal 6-14 SU/ATS over their last 20 games on the road, including a 3-7 ATS mark the last 10 times they were road favorites in the -3½ to -7 point range.

The Ravens are also 0-3 ATS their last three visits to Cleveland, losing outright in both 2004 and 2005 and winning by only one point (15-14) when they played here last season. Look for them to have their hands full once again. Consider taking the points with Cleveland.

    Free Pick: Browns +4

Bet Cowboys and Rams Under 46

      Game Time: 09/30/2007 01:00 PM -
      By: Will Cover | playbook.com

St. Louis has been terrible on offense this season, and they turn that around Sunday in Dallas against the Cowboys' defense. Play the Under when the Cowboys host the Rams.

The 'Boys are coming off a 34-10 rout of the Bears on Sunday Night Football with their defense completely shutting down Rex Grossman and Company at Soldier Field. They now return home and should have no trouble with the popgun offense of the Rams who could muster only a field goalG against Tampa Bay last week.

St. Louis is 0-3 on the year and averaging just 10.6 points per game so far. We don't expect the Rams' offense to finally come to life against this stellar Dallas D, especially with stud RB Steven Jackson not expected to play in this one. The Cowboys will get their points on offense but we don't look for many from this banged-up Rams offense.

Key stats: The Rams 8-2 to the Under vs the NFC East and the Cowboys 4-1 to the Under in Game 4. Dallas scores, St.Louis doesn't thus keeping this contest under the total.

      Free Pick: Rams-Cowboys Under 46 (-110)

        Hate this play.

These are two of the worse pass Ds in the country with 2 potential good Pass Off.

Bulger Holt Bruce - No running game this week

        Romo Owens et al

        Shootout Dallas 42 Rams 30

Grab Green Bay -2 at Minnesota

          Game Time: 09/30/2007 01:00 PM -
          By: Alex Smart | who2beton.com

Brett Favre is a TD toss away from the all-time record, and the Packers are a win away from a 4-0 start. Grab Green Bay minus the points in Minnesota Sunday against the Vikings.

The Green Bay Packers are preparing to make it four wins in a row to start out their season.

The Packers D continues to be one of the most impressive in the league, despite of being a little banged up this week. On the other side of the ball, the Packers underrated offensive line is giving their aging star QB Brett Favre a lot more time to make decisions in the pocket, something he was not able to do last season.

Bottom line: The Packers are the only way to bet this game as their hosts Minnesota, despite being a capable defensive team, have few offensive tools to move the ball down field, even against a injury-depleted Green Bay secondary. Play on Green Bay at -2½ or less.

          Free Pick: Packers -2 (-110)

Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons Over 39

            Game Time: 09/30/2007 01:00 PM -
            By: John Martin | procappers.com

The Over is the way to play this contest as Matt Schaub and the Houston Texans visit the Georgia Dome on Sunday to face Joey Harrington and the Atlanta Falcons.

The Over is 6-1 in Houston’s last seven games overall. The Houston offense has taken a gigantic leap with Matt Shaub at quarterback and averaging 26 points a game.

Atlanta's Joey Harrington has improved every game despite Atlanta’s 0-3 record. You will see his best performance of the season against this unproven Houston defense.

The Over is 10-4-1 in Atlanta’s last 15 home games. Houston is 10-2 Over against a poor defense that is allowing a completion percentage of 61% or worse over the last three seasons. Houston is 7-0 Over against a bad defense that is allowing over 5.65 yards per play over the last three seasons. Cash in with the Over 39 points Sunday.

            Free Pick: Texans-Falcons Over 39 (-110)
