    Public money = 63% cincy 37% ravens
if 63% of the public is on cincy tonight

and the other 37% is on ravens

why did the line move to -2.5 from -3? If the majority of the action is coming in bengals, shouldn't the line have gone the other way to cincy -3.5 to balance the action and get people to bit on the ravens at +3.5

    I am missing something here?

By the way, stats taken from thespread.com

    r2d2,

That is not always the case. I believe they also factor in the amount of money wagered. Sometimes syndicates move big money on a lopsided game and cause the wager to move in the opposite direction.

Appreciate the insight. SO, if that theory is in play tongiht, am I to assume someone (or group of money) hit the ravens with a ton of $$$?

How exactly do you go about figuring out who is the smart money? In this situation I would guess that the "smart money" is on the Ravens because the line actually went down even though more people are betting on Cinci?
