Im a cowboys fan and still way too scared to lay the points and take my boys'. Terry Glenn aint that good he is not the big injury, the big one is Greg Ellis. When Ellis got hurt thats when we saw the downfall of the dallas defense last season. Patrick crayton will fill the whole of glenn very nicely, to be honest crayton is better than Glenn.

Actually I think it's 0-4-2 - two pushes from what I saw, but the point is taken. I like the Giants +6.5. NY was decent on the road covering spreads at the end of last season and Dallas was not so great at home ATS. It's all hinging on little lady Eli. If he plays like the pussy that he is, Dallas could win big. If he plays like he has some of Peyton and Archie's blood in his veins, they can cover.

right , I was blessed with watching some bs on espn in august about how bad indy would suffer with the loss of a big offensive lineman and so I started rememebering how manning had terrible pass protection against the steelers the year before in the playoffs , no blocking equaled no win , it was amazing , and as we all know the whole key to any offense is the blocking up front , well , just like the giants just went deep and had all the protection in the world so did the colts thursday night . In the thursday night game it was the saints that had poor blocking , no way anyone can forecast that beforehand , is just luck like flipping a coin if you are on the right side , if the colts blocking was bad in the 2nd half against the saints then maybe he doesnt hot long bombs like he did for tds looking like playground bs / fix bs / complete joke . The colts were nothing great ats last year . If a person is on the right side of the good blocking and pass protection it is beautiful not sure how you can predict when one of the guys upfront misses block after block or gets called for holding bringing back your 40 yard td run or td pass......................... and so on and so on . we just like to think we can .

Bad snap, bad hold. No kicker could've done much with that.

                              EJandV,

The Colts D won that game. They made Brees look anemic. They made Bush look ordinary. Deuce didn't get loose. Brees is arguable one of the best QBs in the NFL. The Saints offense put up 3 points. 3 points. People were predicting that the Colts D could be run over. Not so fast, wise guys.

The Colts rookie LT did earn his bones in his first game. Hopefully, that's a sign of things to come. It was my biggest concern going into the game. Kudos to the coaching staff as well as Ugoh for a well played game.

Right , the offensive line for the saints made the colts d look great . Like in all sports someone can make you look terrible, okay , good , or great . The saints didnt protect brees or make key blocks for the running game , so MOST are left with a final impression that the colts defense is all that , when in reality it could simply have been the saints making the colt d look so good , the matchups/bad night/who knows ..... If they are on their way to some lil dynasty of a team I would be sooooooo shocked really . I like the Colts , am just saying what I have learned year after year . key : happens year after year same type scenarios .

I'm not saying the Colts D is NE, SD, Chicago, Balt or even Pitts. Honestly, the Colts D is probably middle of the pack. But, with that buzzsaw of an offense, you don't need to shut teams out. The defense is built to protect leads and take opportunities of the opposing team trying to keep up in a points race with Manning/Harrison/Addai/Wayne/etc/etc.

Sure, the Saints could've had a bad game. Who knows? It's one game. Personally, I think it was matchups. The Saints are built for speed with Bush's legs & Brees' arm, but that's exactly what the Colts D is built to defend. It didn't suprise me when the game went the way it did.

EJ, I think we're in agreement about how the Saints/Colts game went. But I still contend that the Indy/Saints game shouldn't be compared glibly to the Dallas/Gaints game. One has nothing to do with the other.

true , this game DIRECTLY has nothing to do with thursdays game , no doubt . But : ) Me saying that is like when you are at a library and you need a reference card , this game being the big game at night just like thursday nights game and it being a powerhouse at home with the power when comparing them to nyg , that is where my reference comes in . I go to the reference and see the comparison is similar , even though I can agree with you and give you a hundered more reasons why you are right that this game has nothing to do with the thursday night matchup . My biggest reason for liking the cowgirls tonight are just common sense type reasons akin to them being the favs here , if it was the eagles at dall tonight I would have left it alone , an on the surface bottom feeder of the division had to go dall here . This game compared to colts I am looking for the same score . haha jk

Someone needs to send the Giants D a memo that there's this new position on offense called tight end that they might consider paying attention to. Witten has been open all night! Sheesh.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing. I think if the Defense can tighten up Giants can come away with this one. They are throwing the ball down the field pretty easy. That Interception was luck.

Giants WTB a defense. Weak performance so far at the half.

                                                            Hey EJ,

I think the NFC East is a dead heat again this year. Eagles=Giants=Cowboys=Redskins, IMO. I can't see any of these teams being any better than the other. Sure, injuries and momentum or whatever might affect how the division plays out, but when I'm handicapping these games, I basically feel these four teams are basically even, especially when they play each other. Just give the standard 3 point edge to the home team and that'll be my line.

yeah that sounds good in theory . I dont like to make predictions like that really . I take it game by game basically . I happen to be an inherited skins fan , so you know what I have suffered through since the , ah damn long time . My favorite season was when the cowboys won 1 game and of course it was against my skins . I hope the skins are in the race and my direct feedback to those 4 teams you have listed I can say I am not sure that one of those wont be a serious lemon in the division , I cant say really right now . The inj factor is so big a factor it makes me not make long term predictions with any real confidence. What you are saying is a strong % to be correct though . I hope very much it is not the skins that suck in the east .
