P2M's NFL Week 1 plays...

I'm gonna try and keep track of all of my plays this season, rather than just knowing how much I'm up or down and not knowing how I fared record wise. That being said here is who I like for Week 1!

2 units Houston Texans -3(-110)
This is probably my favorite game of the weekend... I am not sure that it will be a very exciting game to watch, but I really think that the Texans are vastly improved on both sides of the ball this year... With Damon Huard @ QB and the Chiefs losing some firepower offensively and having a VERY POUROUS DEFENSE, I think the Texans take this one by 10 or so...

1 unit San Francisco 49ers -3.5(-105)
I think this game could seriously turn into a romp! The Cardinals still don't have much of an offensive line to speak of and Leinart has not looked great in the pre-season at all... I believe Frank Gore will run wild in this one and with the improved play from Alex Smith, bringing in Darrell Jackson, and Vernon Davis having an entire season under his belt... I like the 49ers LARGE in this one!

1 unit Dallas Cowboys -5(-110)
Have had this one pegged as well since the lines have come out... This line has risen a little bit, somewhat to my dismay, but I like the Cowboys to take care of business @ home... Romo will be pumped up to get off to a good start this season... Eli always has problems against the Boys, even though they won @ Dallas last season... I believe that Dallas will be a lot more consistent team this season then they were last season... I like the Boys by atleast a TD in this one!

However, one thing stuck out in your plays...

I disagree 100% on KC's D being 'VERY POUROUS'. I think they will be involved in serveral 'unders' this year - and it's not just because they can pound the rock (their rushing yardage will be DOWN about 10-15% from last year at least) - but their D scheme is nasty. Personnel wise they are better than last year - despite being 'older'.

Those kind of teams know how to hang in there.
Houston -3 scares me somewhat. I like the earlier lines of -1, -2 somewhat - but beyond that, it's too close to call. KC will be in this game, as well as many others. I mean - Houston added an unproven startet that was strong in the backup roll (ok, fair) and an aging back (that i LOVE) in Ahman Green. They certainy are a team on the rise, but KC - don't expect them to die. Herman Edwards teams look like shit on paper, but they are close and they cover. I don't know how - but they do. 3 is too much to give up IMO. If I'm wrong - then I'm a tightwaded nancy - whatchagonnado. I might be with you on that pick, but dang I want another point in my favor. I think that game will be close.

I like your teaser play a LOT - but I'm going to lay off them this season in hopes of being more profitable.:> I say that every year, though...haha.

GL in your bets. Not sure if I necessarily agree with them either but good luck. I will not be on the other side of any of them however, just will probably stay away completely. I will probably look to bet by week 3.

I'm following my road dogs IMGV and NEVADASIDE on this one and taking the Oakland Raaaaaaiiiiiiidaaaaassss -1.5 for 1 unit!

Let's cash this one gentlemen! I like the Raiders defense and I think they will actually be able to put up some points on the Lions! How about the UNDER on that game? I envision a 17-13 game or so in this one... What do you guys think?

The Total crossed my mind, but that was about it. Anything is possible as far as scoring with these two, I don't feel good about the Total at all in this one. Too many other good possibilities out there IMO.
