Rams vs Panthers Wild Card Picks & Discussion
The first game of the playoffs on Saturday features the largest spread with the Rams -10.5 road favorites against the Panthers.

While the Panthers upset the Rams at home 31-28 in Week 13, I can't see Carolina pulling off the upset again.

However, 10 points is a lot in the playoffs and leaves the door open for a possible backdoor cover.

If you like the Rams, one alternative option is parlaying Rams halftime/full time with Over 27.5 team total.

DK lets you do this and comes out to +102. Over 29.5 instead of 27.5 makes it +118.

I hope Carolina leads early on so I can get Rams -7.5 or -7

Two possessions may sound easy with this much disparity in the rankings, but Rams weren't anything special away this season (I know they blew teams out, but stats are stats! Rams just 5-4 away and 4-3 outdoors)

I'll bet the Rams -7 or better live almost every time but -10 -11 is just a 50/50 proposition IMHO. The DK plus money options is ok too but IDEALLY, Panthers are up 7-0 in the first quarter and we slam Rams -6.5 -120

SBR's Gary Pearson is riding the Rams on the NFL Picks page:

      LAR -10.5 (-110)
"While the Panthers' Week 13 upset victory over the Rams was impressive, I don't foresee them repeating that 31-point performance. Since that eyebrow-raising result, the Panthers' offense has sputtered, averaging just 16 points in the final four games. The game will be Bryce Young's first in the postseason, and I'm not convinced he'll be able to keep up with MVP odds favorite Matthew Stafford and the Rams' league-best offense. The Rams scored the most points per game (30.5), are ranked first in DVOA, and have the second-shortest Super Bowl odds."
