Thursday Night Football: Jets vs Patriots Predictions & Betting Splits
Week 11 of Thursday Night Football features an AFC East matchup between New York and New England.

SBR's Gary Pearson breaks down the action in his Jets vs Patriots prediction:

Game prediction: Jets +13.5 (-115 via DraftKings)

    Over/Under pick: Over 43 (-110 via Caesars)

"It's going to be a chilly, blustery evening in Foxborough, but neither defense has been particularly good lately, and the 13.5-point spread, which has increased from 10.5, is too large for my liking.

    That leaves the Over.

Twelve of the previous 16 Jets' games hit the Over, somewhat surprisingly. Meanwhile, the Patriots' previous five games went Over the 43.5-point threshold. The Jets will officially be without star wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who has been ruled out due to a knee injury.

With the NFL MVP odds co-favorite and one of the most clutch QBs under center, the Patriots' offense is humming, scoring at least 28 points in three of the previous four games. That unit ranks ninth in terms of DVOA and eighth in EPA per play. And they're playing a defense that has allowed 31.3 points per road game.

New England's defense, meanwhile, ranks fourth-worst in DVOA and worst in the red zone, allowing a TD on 74% of opponents' possessions. That provides hope for a Jets team that, despite having the fourth-worst offensive DVOA, averages 21.7 points per game."

Best prop bet: Drake Maye Under 241.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel)

"Maye has hit the Over on this total in five of the previous six games, including the last three. However, the cold and windy conditions at Gillette Stadium won't be conducive to a highly productive evening through the air.

The Jets' pass defense hasn't allowed more than 236 passing yards all season, with 236 against Dak Prescott in Week 5 their worst day. The Jets allow 190.8 passing yards per game, the eighth-fewest.

I also think the Patriots will be able to manage the clock in the fourth quarter with the lead, limiting the number of late passes."

SBR's Matt Jacob has his best Jets vs Patriots player prop bets ready to go:

Stefon Diggs Over 53.5 receiving yards (-115 via BetMGM)

"Stefon Diggs has had an up-and-down season in New England. In four games against the Raiders, Panthers, Bills and Titans, the veteran wideout combined for 29 catches and 337 yards (including back-to-back 100-yard efforts against Carolina and Buffalo). In his other six outings, though, Diggs has 21 receptions for 181 yards.

Diggs’ yardage totals in his last three contests: 14, 38 and 46. So why back Diggs on Thursday against the Jets, who yield just 190 passing yards per game? Because some of the NFL’s top wideouts have flourished versus New York this season, including Ja’Marr Chase (91 yards), Emeka Egbuka (85), DK Metcalf (83), Jerry Jeudy (78) and Tyreek Hill (67) — and all but Jeudy had to deal with Sauce Gardner."

Justin Fields Over 134.5 passing yards (-115 via BetMGM)

"Which Justin Fields will show up Thursday night — the one who racked up 218, 226, 244 and 283 passing yards in four of his starts? Or the one who managed just 27, 45, 46 and 54 yards in his other four? Clearly, I’m banking on the former.

First off, Fields was stymied by the No. 2 (Browns), No. 3 (Bills), No. 6 (Broncos) and No. 15 (Panthers) pass defenses. But he delivered against the Steelers (32nd), Bengals (30th), Cowboys (29th) and Dolphins (13th). The Patriots are 21st against the pass and have allowed every opposing QB to eclipse 135 yards (with seven topping 220 yards). Yes, Garrett Wilson is out. But Fields still should have no trouble putting up garbage-time stats — something he’s known for."

Drake Maye Longest completion Over 36.5 yards (-114 via FanDuel)

"In the last five weeks, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has registered completions of 53 yards (at New Orleans), 39 yards (at Tennessee), 39 and 44 yards (vs. Cleveland), 58 yards (vs. Atlanta), and 54 and 72 yards (at Tampa Bay). He also had a 55-yarder at Miami in Week 2. And get this: Maye didn’t complete more than 21 passes in any of those games.

It’ll be cold in Foxborough on Thursday night, but wind and rain won’t be a factor. Neither will the aforementioned Sauce Gardner, who is now in Indianapolis. That’s one less stud cornerback for Maye to worry about when he chucks the ball downfield."

SBR's Esten McLaren shares his TNF anytime touchdown scorer predictions:

Hunter Henry, TE, Patriots (+147 via Caesars)

"Hunter Henry enters Thursday Night Football with four touchdowns on the season, but he's coming off a few quiet weeks while the Patriots continue to stack up wins. His last two touchdowns came during 19-plus-point wins for the Patriots.

With the Patriots as the nearly two-touchdown favorites tonight, I'm backing Henry to return to the end zone against a Jets team with seven touchdowns allowed to tight ends on a 71.2% catch rate. Henry has scored three of his touchdowns while catching six of nine red-zone targets this season, and I expect the Patriots to spend much of the game in that area of the field tonight."

Mason Taylor, TE, Jets (+245 via Caesars)

"Even with the most lopsided spread of 13.5 points and the lowest Over/Under of 43 for Thursday Night Football, the Jets are getting an implied team total of 14-15 points. NFL betting sites are calling for two touchdowns from the visitors, and I see rookie tight end Mason Taylor as the most eligible candidate to convert at least once to cash this anytime touchdown scorer prediction.

Taylor dominates snap counts among Jets tight ends. He caught eight of 13 targets, including his first career NFL touchdown, prior to last week's game in which QB Justin Fields amassed just 54 passing yards.

The Patriots aren't as susceptible to tight end touchdowns as the Jets, but they've allowed a 73.5% catch rate and 7.88 yards per target to the position through 10 games. I'm backing Taylor to score for the second time in three weeks, especially with wide receiver Garrett Wilson out tonight."

Mack Hollins, WR, Patriots (+250 via FanDuel)

"I backed Hollins as a personal anytime touchdown bet on Sunday and lost when he caught six of 10 targets for 106 yards without scoring. I'm jumping back on the wagon since he now sports totals of 21 targets, 17 receptions, and 253 yards over his past four games.

Hollins led Patriots receivers in snaps played each of the last two weeks. I see that snap share growing when this game turns into a rout, and Hollins has scored two red-zone touchdowns this season while catching four of five targets inside the 20-yard line.

The wideout has also reeled in a pass for 21-plus yards in three of his past four games."

Jets vs. Patriots touchdown scorer parlay: $10 bet pays $270

"I'm placing this Thursday Night Football SGP at Caesars. A winning $10 bet would pay a profit of $270 if Hunter Henry, Mason Taylor, and Mack Hollins get into the end zone tonight."
