Well i know Charles Woodson won the Defensive Player of the Year Award. I think he had the highest number of INTs this year. He has been one of the best CB ever since he was in Oakland.
Then you have Revis from the Jets who had a phenomenal year.
I know this name doesn't get mentioned much but how good is Nnamdi Asomugha? I read that he was the least targeted defender by QBs because of how good he is. He only has 1 Interception this year but the thing is how can he get 8 interceptions like Woodson when the opposing team don't throw the ball his way. I read this stat that they completely only 13 completions against him all season long
out of 27 passes and that is incredible. I never get to watch much Raider games but it would be exciting watch this guy.
Asante Samuel is another good CB. However, it seems he was much better when he was with the Patriots than the Eagles now.
From what i seen on television, I would say Revis/Woodson are the top 2 Cornerbacks in the league today. However, when i look at statistics of these players, it does seem Woodson gets the most interceptions. Maybe QB's are not afraid to throw his way?
But looking at the whole picture, this guy nnamdi Asomugha has to be the best corner in the league. How come he was not mentioned at all for defensive player of the year? Is it a penalty that QBs don't throw his way?
