B.S. pass interference call gave game to N.O.

The "best" teams don't drop the ball every other play, throw picks, and make mistakes at crucial times.

That's what makes the difference between teams like Indy and New Orleans going to the Super Bowl and teams like Minnesota, Dallas, and San Diego, all of which are just as talented, watching on t.v.

Lot of good points in this thread.

No one call gave the game to the Saints, since there were terrible calls all game long, and mostly they went against the Saints!

There's a lot of blame to go around for the Vikings for blowing a game that should have been theirs:

1. Fumbling six times (lucky to get half of those back)
2. Conservative play-calling on last drive by Childress (You don't get conservative at that point on the field! Hello??! Has he seen kickers missing clutch chip-shots all year, let alone 50-yarders???)
3. Gaffe by Favre

Yes, the refs gift-wrapped it at the end, but Vikes have themselves to blame.

However, I would be in favor of never letting that crew work another playoff game again.

Vikings turned the ball over 5 times and still the refs had to rob the vikings of chance to win in ot. I'm telling you this game was shady. Basically it seemed like the wwe in where the refs were basically told favor the saints so that the thousands in attendance would be happy (Regardless of the fact that their ignorant to believe they should be going to the superbowl)

The NFL imo did this because of money. You see it all the time in sports where the big market teams that are going to generate more money for the league get the calls.

There is no integrity in american sports.

vikings lost that game with favres interception saints got a free gift. vikings lost that game saints didnt win it. they both played good but thank farve saints fan cause the saints are very fortunate to be in the super bowl. its manning time!!!!

The pass interference call came because the player flopped. That's what the NFL has come down to. I don't even blame the players in this case. The NFL is asking for this with its gazillion soft new rules. The rules have killed it. The flopping will only increase. Guaranteed.

Yes but You know that in sports the best team does not always win because of what you were complaining about at the beginning of this thread was my point and you were clearly worked up about it so I was just stating this will always happen forever and will never stop so why get worked up about it

You can't blame the refs for this game. They did a good job overall even though I thought the pass interference call was horse shit and I still think Colston (I think thats who it was) trapped the ball on the play that was reviewed on 3rd and long. The Vikings blew so many chances...they should have won by two touchdowns.

Once it went into overtime I knew whoever won the coin toss would win the game.

Below is the Saints last possession of the game which completely controlled the only thing important that mattered the whole entire game and this was the OUTCOME!!!

1.Giving Saints a favorable spot on the 4th down play for the first down because the ball was fumbled even though he regained possession down around is mid section when he hit the ground by rule this is where the ball is placed which is a three foot difference.The Referee's blatantly ignored this rule even in the review upstairs If they would have enforced the rule the correct Result by rule was Vikings ball

However this same rule does not apply when you are breaking the plane of the goal-line because the instant the ball breaks the plane of the goal line it is a touchdown regardless of what happens but in the regular field of play the spot of ball placement is where you regain possession after losing control

2.The pass interference call was not interference Reason#1 the defender never touched the receiver until the ball was out of the receivers reach this itself is not pass interference by rule

Reason#2 even if he would have touched the receiver before the ball got there this was not pass interference because the ball was deemed uncatchable by rule if the ball is uncatchable there is no such thing as pass interference

I will also add on the very same play there was blatant holding on the pass rusher by the offender right in front of the Referee and Quarterback which was ignored

3.The final catch was clearly not a catch he bobbled the ball the whole way to the ground and the ball touched the ground by rule a receiver must remain in possession of ball the whole way through the play without using the ground to gain possession and clearly he violated every section of this rule

#2. The other team didn't beat us, we beat ourselves.
#3. Blame the Network for wanting a particular matchup.
#4. Blame the NFL for wanting a particual matchup.
#5. Even though this team beat you, swear that they don't have a chance in the next game.

#4. When a team forces 5 turnovers in a game it is hardly a bogus win.
#5. Saints were penalized more than the Vikings in this game. Blaming 1 questionable call for the Vikings loss is idiotic.
#6. Refs tried to take away Bush's TD, if not for a convincing replay, they would have gotten away with it.

Anyway......Saints are in the SuperBowl!!!
