      Saints will get smoked in the Super Bowl. They should not have won against the Vikings. Also, anyone who thinks that Brett Favre cost the Vikings today needs to put down the crack pipe, the dude put it all out there today, the interception was costly but the Saints got some calls their way in overtime. The Colts and Manning will not allow that to happen.

        So all of you people that actually think there was a bad call and the Saints were given the game, that all of a sudden means that the Colts beat down the Saints? I dont understand, the Colts struggled the whole first half, against the Jets, a team that is really 1 dimensional, running, can pass every now and then if given time, but now with the Saints you have a team that was in the top 5 or so in rushing and passing yards a game. Yeah the Jets overall defense is better than the Saints and the secondary is suspect, but they have a lot of ball hawking guys that can force turnovers as we saw tonite...Jets were up 17-6 at one point, dont forget...If the Colts slip up and give a lead like that to the Saints, dont expect them to come back that easy. I mean all we heard all week was Vikings beat the Saints, that defensive front is gonna kill Brees, the Vikings are gonna roll. I heard Jared Allens name 1 time, and Williams name 1 time when he almost encroached on 4th down. when the Saints did run the ball they got pretty nice gains. The Saints defense is what won them this game...Just because the Colts win by 13 at home against the Jets and the Saints were so called handed the game and win in OT, that has nothing to do with the fact you say Indy destroys the Saints. Not to mention, the Saints beat the Jets 24-10 earlier in the year. The Saints love to blitz, and Manning might get sacked and hit around just like Warner and Farve, im gonna wait until everyone pounds the Colts and hopefully the line goes up to 7, thats an easy play on the Saints, and the Saints ML looks really good too.

            Guys, you say the paper said it would be a pick between these teams, but most everyone here loves the colts at -4.5 & it has already moved to 5 & 5.5.

            Here's what I'm thinking about doing starting tonight. Im gonna start a thread offering a static line like on a parlay card from now til gametime. Parlay line of 5 & 56. No matter what the lines move to you can bet this line in a parlay of 2.5 odds payout max 105 points.

            So 40 points would pay 105
            35=88
            30=75
            25=63 & so on. A push would lose, or I may put hooks so there will be no tie. Should I also offer a static line straight bet -110?

                i for one had the saints tonight -3 and didnt think it would be as close of a match as it was. I thought saints would win by 10 to be honest. but i saw the saints penalizing themselves to death tonight, and having an offense that did not move too well against the vikings d. they had several turnover opportunities that they did not capitalize on, did not convert well on 3rd downs and in my opinion played pretty sloppy.. as stated earlier the colts ran very well against the jets to my surprise (had jets +8). and have a much more dynamic offense. not to mention with mannings ability to read the d and call plays at the line he will be scoring nearly at will against the saints.

                i think that both teams will score, and score well, but i think that the saints O will not be as consistent as manning and his crew, and lose out on a few key drives. the question is will the saints D be able to handle manning and his crew? especially given the fact that manning is CLUTCH when it comes down to the wire, and rushing the D. if they play the colts like they played tonight.. they will lose. thats why i hopped on board early with -4.5 and see the colts running down the clock in the 4th and winning by 7-10pts

                i said going into these games that the only team that i believed could beat the colts is the jets.. and now im sure.. but hey thats just me.. what do i know? i see people jumping all over the spreads right now, when joe public doesnt even know there is a spread yet.. i can easily see this line going to -8 or higher.. which is why i think its a good play right now

                      I wouldn't be surprised if this line gets to 7.5-8. Which in my eyes is still a good value. Not going to be a close super bowl at all.

                            Yes, ready to pounce. Colts are solid all around and Manning is playing lights-out.

                            Saints might hang around for a while, but that sieve of a defense will in no way hold Peyton Manning under 35 points.

                            Once Manning sees how they are trying to defend him and makes his usual adjustments, it's Game, Set, Match.

                              couldnt have said it better myself... the X factor here is manning.. any other QB and i say saints cover or win SU... but manning calls his own damn plays he WILL find a way to pick them apart and has a great offense to work with, and a fast D that will keep the saints grinding

                                I agree MK. I'm gonna sit back for the next 2 weeks and watch the public put their life savings into the colts and watch that line move up to 7.5 and then hammer the saints with the hook.

                                  I hope you guys are right about the line moving past 5.5....I just put a boatload into bookmaker thinking that the 5.5 wouldn't last and that it would settle back down lower. I am on the saints with the points.

                                    Did you watch the game? Minny had no pass rush. They still pretty much shut down the Saints offense even without getting pressure on Brees. And it was in the superdome! One of their TDs was gifted by Harvins fumble. Another one came off a huge kickoff return. The Colts D is no joke.....

                                          Not sure about a side yet but it is interesting that the point spread seems to be moving up while the ML is inching down somewhat... Looks like (initial) Colts backers are betting the regular line while Saints bettors are playing the ML?

                                                Indy is a tough team, but the Saints have a good offense (like the colts). I'm def taking the over on this one. Saints beat the Jets pretty easy and the Jets did decent against the colts. I honestly thing its going to be a close Super Bowl.

                                                    The line will move up more and more. That will let you know how many were ready to pounce. There is nothing the Saints D can do to even slow Indy. On the other hand, Indy defense can definitely hold the Saints to 21 or below. 21-34 is the best outcome the Saints can hope for

                                                        For everyone dreaming that the line goes up to -7 or more, you can forget it. Take it from me, there is no way Vegas allows this to happen. Vegas put out an early line of Indy -4. A lot of people jumped on it. So much so that it took all of 17 minutes from the line to go from-4 to -5.5 at the Hilton. There is no way that the books will let this line get much higher, or they can get middled for big money. The Vegas books set limits as to how high or low they will allow a line to drift. You may see 6, but that is the limit, unless huge amounts of money go down on Indy. Most of the money came down from Indy backers as soon as the Saints game ended. Saint backers have not gone down yet.

                                                        Remember, there were Vegas hotels that gave the AFC team (Indy) -3 yesterday before the Saints game was over. If you grabbed on to that, you were very smart. Unfortunately we could not dump a lot of money on that, because the hotels that offered it had a very low limit on that wager. But we still took as much action as we could get at the M resort. Do you really think they will allow themselves to get middled with two key numbers in play (3 and 7)?
