Well, here we go again. We've been waiting all week and the time is finally here. What will the front page of every newspaper across the country read tommorow? The most dramatic storyline would definitly read JETS vs. VIKINGS; ROOKIE vs. LEGEND. The experts see it reading SAINTS vs. COLTS.
As betters we don't have the legacy to embrace the dramatic overtones or rely on what the experts are thinking. We approach the match-up from all angles. We look at stats, previous meetings, individul match-ups, where the money is moving, and predictions of not experts but successful handicappers like "Lakerboy" (much respect Sir, been following your NBA thread all week).
WHAT DO WE KNOW? We know that we got rookie QB going, and the five times that a rookie QB has reached and started the NFC or AFC divisional championship game they have left a loser. In my experience trends are made to be broken, especially in big games. We know that the JETS are the only team left that doesn't play in a dome on a reglar basis. We know that both defenses have been lights out so far in the playoffs. We know that before 2006 and since the superbowl victory Peyton Manning has dissappointing in big games, very dissappointing.
WHAT DO I THINK? Well, I think the line most certainly favors the JETS to cover. They might not win the game but with that defense I don't see them losing by 9. I think the running attack of the JETS will wear down the colts D front as the game moves on. I think Sanchez is a winner, not statistically impressive but a winner. I think the JETS D will slow down Manning, Wayne, and Clark. I think it's gonna be a war where there will be a key injury during the game that will play in the JETS favor. I think this game will come down to the smallest guys on the field "the kickers" and I think whoevers kicker kicks perfect today will send their team to the superbowl. I think the JETS cover!
MY PREDICTION:
Final score: Colts 13 Jets 9
JETS +8.5 (5X)
