#37I really think the Bengals are due to return to form and have a plan for the Jets.
If they are successful in taking an early lead, Jets will be unable to get back in the game.
It's an important point.. the lead.. because if Cincy was down we all would think they "could" get back in the game with a few big plays.. the Jets on the other hand, cannot make big plays.

#43sanchez doesnt have to be special but if he doesnt hit a big play to butter fingers edwards then jets are in trouble i would expect them to take a few shots early and if they connect it will be a good game if not cincy will roll as you can 4get about jets run game winning this 1 on there own.... cincy d is way to good to get run all over they also saw pretty much jets whole run game playbook i would expect lewis to have a excellent defensive game plan in place...the only other factor that has me worried about takin cincy and the under is i would expect jets to have a few trick play/wrinkles out of that wild cat set and brad smith was a capable passer in college so now there are 2 possibility's for jets to get points with big plays which is honestly the only shot they have...i believe cincy can have marginal success with there run game and the fact that they looked like shit coming down the stretch doesnt concern me to much as that is the way lewis has built this team to win ugly...the way i see it if jets cant produce a big play or 2(as this is what i think they need to take the pressure off sanchez this week) cincy wins somthing like 14-10 20-10...if the jets connect for something big the whole game changes as pressure will fall on cincy's offense(never a good thing) and then id say 17-14 20-17 either way....leaning under hard(may buy 3 points as 37 is as high as i think it goes) just havnt decided on a side as im really not sure if jets hit the big plays i think they need or not...the big play will be there, question is does it bounce off brylan edwards face mask or not?Comment -

#48I don't understand why the Bengals couldn't stop Brad Smith from running wild when taking the snap.
It's just a simple running play, why did they act like they've never seen it before. For that matter, I've never understood the Wildcat's success. It basically eliminates the chance of a pass, so the defense should all be gearing up for a rush. usually in a regular formation, they have to guess whether the play is a pass or rush. The wildcat should be really easy to stop. I just don't get it.Comment -

#49the only problem with that slacker and i agree smith just running in the wild cat will not work but if the jets coaches have any sense at all they will have a few potential big plays dialed up out out that package as smith is a more than capable passer...hopefully cincy coaches realize this should be coming and have there team prepared for itComment -

#55Maybe I wasn't clear. I'm just saying that the Bengals will be hoping that the Jets get desperate and go for the gimmick stuff in this game. It's one thing to surprise some people in the regular season with the wildcat or whatever, but when the playoffs start, it's time for real football. Put away the trick plays. They don't work in a real meaningful game.
Bottom line, it's going to take some legitimate football to win this game.Comment -

#56This line 2 or 2.5 because of what happened the past few weeks. The Bengals played at San Diego and at the Vikings 2 of the last few weeks (Jets would have lost both those games too), Chris Henry died, they have not been right. The line in this game if it were a few weeks ago would be close to 7. I am taking the home team under a field goal with the better QB. If Sanchez pulls this off, and he will have to win this game in single digit weather (maybe snow too) on the road then I will eat the loss. GL!Comment -

#58Jets are underrated and I'm sick of listening to people on TV talk shit about the Jets. It's 2 weeks in a row now on how they won because of some excuse.
Guess what? This time they own the Bengals at home and move on. 27-17 win for the Jets! They move on.Comment -

#60Outside of the division, the Bengals have just played lousy. However, I think the game WILL be close. I'm leaning with taking the points, but can't pull the triggger just yet (C'mon Sanchez???)Comment -

#61showed their hand, new trick plays, comical stuff. If you dont play to your strengths you lose. NFL is all about practice and execution, both these Teams know exactly what each other will do and the one who executes better wins. Its highly unlikely either side will have much success running the ball and both camps will be loathe to risk passing early on so the UNDER is a courageous but reasonable bet. Like most play-off games this year, Teams will have to pass the ball to win and its probably down to luck who gets intercepted and who gets the glory. That gives the bengals the edge here but I wouldnt bet on it .Comment -

#63Jets momentum? They went into their last two games 7-7 the colts laid down and the Bengals laid down. The bengals were also missing two of their best run stoppers on the d line.
I like bengals as I don't trust sanchez to connect on crucial third downs

have you noticed nobody is covering the Casey Johnson story.
Looks like a suicide, she's the Jets owner's daughter.
A terrible tragedy and getting no coverage anywhere on tv at all.
Concerning ESPN and most media of course they will favor Jets.
Jets are a NYC team and that's where most of those people live/work.Comment -

#69print and tv media are pumping up the Jets on fluff.
they don't even belong in the playoffs. pundits are making judgements based on the last two games, against opp who didn't want to show cards/play starters.
sharps are on cincy imo

#70Bengals players were uninspired last week in New York, and quite frankly would of rather faced the Jets than the Ravens. Jets were in a situation and had to win, and they were fired up to say the least. Bengals didnt show the Jets their offensive playbook. Bengals come to play tommorrow.
Begals advance.Comment
