Should not be Denver because there was no big expectations... not a world class roster.

So Giants or Pittsburg because they were strong teams and brought back most of there previous yr's squad.

Both had some injuries, but I would say Pittsburg since they fell so far, from Super Bowl to missing the playoffs... with most of the team back from the previous year.

And Steelers played an easier schedule (Sagarin 24) than Giants (7).

      SO, Pittsburg!

Only so long as I can say Culter

Colts, I would love to nominate. But, I think it's far too hard to nominate somebody who is self inflicting damage.

Though it's really, really sad when they're going for 100 catch seasons w/ clark and wayne when they're giving up 16-0.

Cutler will improve next season. His numbers this year weren't that far off from his career numbers, just a down year. Moving to a new team and a new system will do that. Not to mention his WR corps are about the worst in the NFL. You know it's sad when your #1 WR is a DB. If the Bears can bring in a legit #1 WR, things will change. Not to mention maybe a new OC being a better fit with Cutler. Attitude aside, you gotta give this kid an extra year to prove himself in Chicago, the city that eats it's young QBs.

Well most of you are talking about the years play but there are some great single game chokes to....Baseball when Clev scored 10 bottom 9 with 2 outs to beat White Sox by 1 and Hoops when the Bulls led by 35 in the 3rd Q and lost the game. Now those are really great single game chokes

I give it to Denver. That is two years in a row they choked off a playoff berth.

This is the NFL subforum. So, I'll stick to the NFL. As for single game in 2009, maybe the Dolphins-Saints would be it. They were up 24-3 early and still ahead 34-24 in the fourth quarter. I thought Parcells teams didn't choke, but it was what it was.
