Game also could decide who gets the #3 seed, depending on NE.

This sucks. I was hoping jets would play early so later teams would know if they were playing for something or not.

It does put a game on in prime time with playoff implications, but what if the Pats win at 1PM? What the Bengals have anything to play for? It might turn a good day game to a shitty night game....

Actually, this is interesting because the Bengals might be able to hand pick their opponent for the wild card round. They might play to win or lose depending on who they want to face in the first round of the playoffs. It might be interesting...

No. The game would mean nothing for them.
BTW, the guys on NBC think the game is in Cincinnati.
Dan Patrick said the Giants game today was the last game in Giants Stadium, and Tony Dungy doesn't think the Jets will win "in Cincinnati".
The game is actually in New Jersey.

Yes and Tony Dungy believes if the Jets win, they are in the super bowl. Just skipping by the whole playoffs
They all had a rough day talking.

If the Patriots lose at the Texans, then the Bengals can play for the #3 seed or lose and be the #4 seed. (BTW: Texans are 3 to 1 favs over the Pats right now.)
So, if the Bengals lose then they'll face the Jets again in the playoffs. I think this might be their best option because the Jets really aren't a great team, but it might depend on who ended up with the #6 seed. Most likely it would be the Ravens, but if I'm Cincy, I don't want the playoff tested division rival Ravens coming to town.
Best bet for Cincy is to mess around with the Jets and try to figure them out while laying down to them. This is exactly what will happen next week on SNF, you heard it here first.

they finally announced that it would be at the Jets and at the Meadowlands.
A little slow over there.

Yeah, I heard that one too. That was pretty funny. Why would he say Super Bowl when no one really believes this Jets team can make it?
But hey, it's better than when he and Rodney Harrison agreed that Dallas had no chance at all against the Saints (they discussed the game on the SNF prior to the Saturday game. Patrick said "So... any chance New Orleans loses to Dallas?").

Jets could end up with the #5 seed, BTW.
The Bengals will know the situation before the game, of course, but a Jets win and they would get either the #5 or #6, depending on the other teams.

Philly at Dallas (to decide the NFC East) has been moved to 4:15 from 1.

The colts played this perfect to keep the stellars out of the playoffs. Cincy will let the jets win not wanting to play the stellars for a 3rd match up. Hard to beat a team 3 times.
