Die Hard Giants Fan's Take on the Monday Nighter
Giants backs are against the wall again. At 7-6 now if they lose they are done. I am not a Giant homer who bets the Giants every week, I bet them once this year against the Redskins -6 and that pushed. Giants are definitley the better team but the Giants have been horrid lately. This is not the Giants team you have watched play over the first 5 games and past few years. They used to pound the ball on the ground until the defense would break and wore teams out with Jacobs. Now they barely give it to Jacobs. Don't blame that all on Jacobs, it is hard to get into a rhythm when you get the ball once every 4 plays and then sit out the whole 4th quarter. Bradshaw is still capable of a spark but the guy is playing with two badly banged up ankles and a bad knee. He walks in a boot the whole week and still comes out and plays well but he is not as explosive right now as he is when he is healthy.

The pass rush is just gone, plain and simple. Same guys, different results, they badly miss Spagnuolo who always dialed the right number. Now Tuck and Umenyiora are just another two average defensive ends. The secondary is awful and Webster and Ross both got banged up last week but the big problem is Michael Johnson the FS who had to move into the leader of the defensive backfield after Phillips went down. He just isn't a leader, he doesn't get the backs organized and it shows when you have guys streaking open down the middle of the field. Not to mention now they always have a hole in coverage because usually either CC Brown or Bruce Johsnon (who is a strong contender for worst CB in the league) are always on the field at some point it seems although CC Brown has been off the field more lately. I think Moss can possibly break a big one on this defense and with Portis out they should throw plenty. That spells trouble as it is tough to cover Kelly, Moss, Randle El, and Thomas all at once without letting a TE leak open.

The Giants need this win but I am not so positive they can get it, they have laid several stinkers over the years on MNF and Eli still struggles in the cold and wind. Don't compare the weather in this game to the weather Sunday night because I was at the SNF game against the Eagles and the wind wasn't there which is when Eli Manning is really at his pee wee football best. This game is simply not worth playing so considered yourself warned. I know it is tough for most of you to lay off a MNF game but the value lies in Skins +3 if you can get that line. I would not take Skins +1 or Giants -1. Be very careful, this Giants team needs a win to be in the playoff picture but they aren't a playoff team.

BTW the Giants play calling is some of the worst I have seen. This guy has no ****ing clue what is going on. He tries the same 6 plays every drive and if he would ever let Jacobs pound up the middle the Giants may be able to move the ball.

    Giants 21, Redskins 20

Note: That score prediction my Giants bias is probably worth two points towards the Giants.

Take what you want but no side or total has an edge, trust me.

ive been saying all this stuff about g-men and there coaching staff/change of identity for weeks you are dead on 4sure you know your team
honestly i think this 1 gets a little more high scoring(not sure how windy its going to be though) as i see a wash offense that should be able to pass all over. wouldnt even mind some snow help that banged up secondary have a few more problems im taking wash on a hunch but really like the over

I see a ton of people who like the over but if it is going to be windy run as far away as you can. With no wind this will be a 24-23 type of game. With wind we see a stupd 22-9 game in favor of the Skins. Although, Eli has gotten to the playoffs every year as a starter tomorrow night will show us what he is made of.

I went for Skins +3, and UNDER 43.5. Redskins QB Campbell seems much improved over the last 5 games as well.

Also a die-hard Big Blue fan and feel the over is the better play. I feel like the game is too close to call as the Redskins have been playing much better as of late and they get pumped up for these NFC East games. I believe the Giants may be the better team but this game can go either way. This year the Redskins are 0-4 in division games. They lost by 6, 10, 1, and 4. Every game is close. And it seems like this year you never know which Giants team is gonna show up.

Giants suck this year, but they are a big market team and an important franchise. something tells me dont play but something tells me they will win tonight.

redskins ML.....all the people who acknowledge the struggling giants- what position would you say they're lacking- they're pretty well-rounded i'd say. this is a trap game and im not falling into the trap. giants are a superior team so they lose tonight to lose more people their money. plain and simple. ive watched a lotta giants games this season and it seems to be poor decision-making moreso than anything else.

The Giants are well rounded from two years ago. The line hasn't played well this year when running the ball, Jacobs hasn't played well, the receivers have been great, the line hasn't played well, the secondary sucks, linebackers are average. Boley is great.

Brandon Jacobs on Laron Landry. "That's what happens when someone wishes they were you. They are jealous. They go after you. Ever since I put him into the turf and stepped on his face opening night he has taken shots at me every chance. He knows where I'll be Monday, I know where he will be. I wish I could hit him and shut him up but he has a habit of talking shit to me even before the snap, I'll find him, and I'll hurt him."
