#4I have the Cardinals -3 even though the 49ers did beat them the first week. Warner has been hot...hes been 4-0 since the last 5 games as starter. Also last week...with the cards defense, shutting down adrian peterson was pretty empressive.Comment -

#5I'm taking the Cardinals -3. They had an impressive game last week against the Vikings. Also Mike Ditka picked the Cardinals to win and he is 13-0 on his MNF picksComment -

#649ers ML. Count it.Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. Again, it matters not what it is. You believe in it, you are loyal to it, would defend it, and yet have no proof of it, other than that, at one point or another, you chose to believe in it. Self-hypnosis. #9This is a rival game and it should be good. I am picking the Cardinals though because their offense is much better and they are playing very well right now. They beat a good Minnesota team and they should be able to handle SF also.Comment -

#13Cards lost the home opener to Niners. And they've been talking about that all week. They're expecting a dog fight, and they want revenge. Plus it's a division game, and a win clinches the division for Arizona. No way the Cards overlook this or underestimate SF. Cards are still improving and now playing near level of last year's playoffs. Expect playoff intensity from the Cards. Niners still a few sizes too small.
Warner is the leader of this team. He's completely invested in 'building something the right way'. He's been there and done that, and he loves the same process in Phoenix. I went to their preseason training camp and have film on him and others. Everybody was very intense, but there was also plenty of fun and cheering going on. Except Warner. Dead dead serious. Totally focused. Never cracked a smile. He looked murderous. Think about that the next time you underestimate the Cards.

#19The real analyses from Dark Horse and MidgetTossers are interesting... but I think Dark Horse is on the money here. While the defending Super Bowl champ Steelers are flaming out in the the AFC, the Super Bowl loser Cards are putting together a solid run leading up to the playoffs, much like they did last year and the Giants did the year before. Warner only has so many games left in his brilliant up-and-down career, and after beating the Vikings last week he knows his team is primed to deliver him another fat ring come February.
Like Dark Horse said, the Cards are still improving. Their WRs are peaking and Warner has been on fire. The whole team is focused because they know they can win the division, earn a bye in the first week, get a home game in the playoffs, and then anything can happen in the NFC Championship game. The 49ers have been tough at home, but let's face it, their talent level is dwarfed by the Cardinals and Singletary has them overachieving this season. As a grizzled Bears fan, I love Mike, but they aren't quite ready for prime time, and Alex Smith torching the Seahawks last week does not make me confident that he can torch the Cardinals secondary, who intercepted Brett Favre twice last week when he was still God.
I see the Cardinals winning a physical game (and yes, the Cardinals have a physical defense) by 7 to 10 points and maybe more if the Niners are behind in the second half, realize they are headed to 5-8, and already looking ahead to next year. The Arizona Cardinals are for real and with Detroit and St. Louis coming up in the next two weeks, they know they can be 11-4 heading into a home game with the Packers in the final week. They have a lot of upside and momentum and they will not be derailed this Monday night in San Francisco.
Bottom line, I have a couple units on the Cards and I also put them in several parlays with basketball to maximize my profit on them (the Grizzlies, Mavs, and Thunder/Nuggets Over, among others).
I have them -3, but I wouldn't hesitate paying the hook for +odds on this game. The Niners think they will be ready, but the Cards will be inspired.Comment -

#25I had Philly parlayed with Over last night too and was able to watch the game comfortably. Tonight is a bit more of a difficult pick. Arizona played extremely well against Minny last week and really shut down the Vikings running game which came as a surprise. I think this was more of an anomaly than a pattern going forward so I see the Niners capable of rushing tonight. That said, the Niners are without Nate Clements tonight so I see them having a lot of issues against the Cardinals passing game. I think the Over 45 is the safer play but would skew towards the Cardinals -3.Comment -

#34I did the following 13 point teaser:
Arizona: +9
SF: +17
Over: 32
Under: 58
I usually reserve this type of bet for division Rivalry games where the spreads are tight. I see a final of AZ 26 - SF 17.
SF will try to keep it conservative and run Gore a ton, but will open it up after they fall behind and try to play catch up.
