Vince Young, seriously...

I understand that Vince Young is not the worst quarterback ever like everyone once thought, but come on, why is everyone going crazy like Vince Young is special . I guess he's special because he scored an 8 on the wonderlic test , but he's really not THAT great of a quarterback.

I told everyone not to get too high on the Bengals and then they lost to the Raiders.

The same goes for the 15 minutes of Vince Young hype...maybe when the Colts blow out the Titans next week everyone will shut up.

Not a Vince Young hater by any means, I'm just saying he's still not a top 10 qb if he wins every game by putting 20 on the scoreboard and beating average teams.

If he gets a win vs the Colts or Chargers I'll be impressed, but outplaying Matt Leinart, Alex Smith, and David Gerrard isn't incredible .

I am in agreement that the hype train is a bit excessive as it relates to Vince Young. That said, there is a lot to be optimistic about in his recent success. The primary one is he is sitting in the pocket and going through his progressions and not tucking it under his arm and running. This was always the bane of Vick's quarterbacking. Vince Young is scrambling to extend the play and keeps looking downfield and is only running when there is a clear lane. While his mechanics are awkward he is accurate with it. I don't view him as a top 10 quarterback either but he is a viable starter for a team whose focus is on the running game.
