How soon do you start handicapping for the upcoming season? Not necessarily single games, but teams (i.e. win/loss projections, power ratings, etc)...

I am talking about when you pull out your notes and start looking at teams and personnel and start making predictions. I think some sportsbooks already have lines on opening weekend...

I start my football capping at the baseball all-star break.

I try to around the baseball all-star break. I also pick up the football preview magazines once they hit the stores.

The # of games before Eagles' fans start clamoring for Kevin Kolb to replace Donovan McNabb? That'd be an over-under of 3.5. Notorious slow starts.

            LoL!

I dissagree as a person who lives in the Philly area I think that the last couple of years Donovan has done well in the early part of the season. It is late in the season, like during playoffs or the super bowl that he literally blows chunks. It is all a mute pointanyway because he will be hurt by week 13 of the season.

Philadelphia under 9.5 might not be a bad bet. If Donavon gets hurt, who is the back up? I haven't even looked at the Eagles schedule though...I am anxious to start handicapping football but since training camps haven't even started I am wondering if it would be a waste of time to start right now. I know Athlon is supposed to ship its football annuals tomorrow...maybe I'll get them by the weekend.
