Will the UFL do any better than previous 'other football league' attempts?

There's a possibility that it can since there are former NFL players that some people still like. But in the end it will fold as usual. We seen it in XFL, AFL, and next will be the UFL. They only have like what 6 teams in the league. Not much fan base i don't believe.

I wasn't trying to compare with the NFL, but with the other leagues which tried like XFL and USFL. Personally I like(d) all of them.

the level of play is pretty good and is entertaining to watch. I wouldn't mind if it stayed around

Too be honest I wouldn't mind seeing a Rugby league get started rather than a secondary NFL league here in the US.

I feel it will not last. Fans only have so much money these days and some NFL teams barely have enough support and talent as it is.

Nobody here in Vegas cares though. Games are pretty much free, and nobody shows. I dont know anyone who keeps track either.
