    Bledsoe finally calls it quits
He finally announced his retirement today. The sick part is that he should have done this 3 years ago.

I can't blame him for hanging around. All the money he made and when you leave, your done for good. He probably wanted to make sure it was time.

I'm sure he can find something to do with those millions he made from playing though Austin.

About time, but I agree. If the money was there, you might as well stick it out to it don't come anymore.

Watched this guy for a lot of years. He had great ability, but no real drive to win, and he was not a smart quarterback. Also never really improved after his first couple of seasons. Still made the same stupid throws he did as a rookie, and always in a key situation.

Bledsoe is a lot more articulate than many ex-pro's. I wouldn't mind seeing him doing commentary or something. He's got a very sharp football mind, but just didn't seem to be able to make good decisions "in the moment".

His numbers speak of a pretty decent career, but not HOF. He should get "some" credit for his Super Bowl ring, he did win the AFC championship game, to his credit, to get them there.

                  He's done.

Bledsoe can't get a starting job in the NFL. Bledsoe isn't Vinny. He doesn't want to hold a clipboard playing for the veteran's minimum salary. Maybe if Parcell's came back to coaching and begged him, but that's a huge 'IF'.

No more Statue of Limitations. It was his immobility in a changing league that hurt him most in my opinion. I recall Bellichik saying something at the time like having chosen Brady over Bledsoe was one the toughest decisions he'd had to make in his coaching career . . . I wonder in retrospect if he was just being diplomatically coy by saying that . . .
