My First Set of Picks... Check it!

This is the first set of picks that I've made here - what do you guys think?

NFL Games -
Texans -3.5 vs Bills
Johnson may be out, but the Texans still have plenty of weapons in Daniels, Walter, Schaub, and Slaton. I'd think about taking the under as well.

49ers +13 vs Colts
Colts are really good, but I don't see the 49ers getting blown out by that much. We'll see Alex Smith get his second shot at starting in the NFL, and I think he'll have some success.. The only real game film the Colts have on him is from multiple seasons ago, under a different head coach.

Giants -0 vs Eagles
I'm an Eagles fan, but we've been playing VERY sloppy. Injuries on the O-line, at RB, and LB are hurting the team too. I'm not betting on this one though just because the Eagles are a really unpredictable team (see the loss at Oakland) - we either come out as world beaters or McNabb turns it over a couple times and then the game is too close for comfort..


Junior Varsity NFL Games -
Lions over the Rams
Lions have consistently shown that they can put up points and occasionally get some stops on D. The Rams have only shown that Marc Bulger can be sacked... again and again and again.

2-2 - not too bad for my first set of picks

These are my picks for Week 9! I'm picking against the pretty obvious teams (Chiefs, Bucks) so I'm hoping to do better than last week.


Jags @ KC Chiefs - Jags -6.5
The Chiefs are coming off a bye week but I'd look for the Jags to take the ball out of Gerrard's hands and put them into Jones-Drew's more than the 8 runs he got last week (which he took for 177 and 2 TD's). Add in the Larry Johnson distraction and the Jags should roll. I'd think about the over too (KC and Jacksonville are 28th and 29th respectively in total defense) but I'm hesitant for some reason.

Packers @ Buckaneers - Packers -10
Mreh.. it's the Bucks and the Pack should be playing angry.

Cowboys @ Eagles Over 47.5
Cardinals vs. Bears Over 44.5
