Seahawks lost 14 points and Steelers got 7, twenty-one point swing.....
surprised anyones old enough and paying attention enough, has a good enough memory and stuff......to remember that one.
One team that will get very favorable calls hereforward is the Dallas Cowboys.
from gudz mouth to your ear.
Imma go back and give ya some points for that post because that was one of the all-time obvious....that Steelers/Seahawks game......

#44posters need to accept that losing is part of the game,
if there werent any late covers/ turn of events / fumbles / scores , etc nfl would be boring as hell ,
i've lost on the dolphins +7 yesterday, so i know how it feels to lose a game you already counted as a winner,
but l bad beats are part of the business.
Accept it or spend your money on other things ( which might be a wise decision afterall)Comment -

#48I don't think the games are fixed however if you are on the losing end of a game like that, you do have those thoughtsComment -

#49Probably correct. I do not write that cuz I had the losing side either. I LOVED the Steelers ALL week long. Part of me wants to write information on how to be a better gambler for you young guns, but then again, if more people know how to better gamble, Vegas and the books would have to make adjustments. (Young boys, please don`t argue that statement, you will show either your age or ignorance. The men know what I mean!)
Peace out Men.Comment -

#51Alot would have to be tampered with for a game like NFL to be fixed. It seems ludicrous that an NFL game could be fixed.Comment -

#53It must be a fix. NFL wanted Favre to have a letdown so he can come back next week win and be the hero. This is what Hollywood likes.Comment -

#56All games are fixed. Do not gamble and do not watch any sports on TV. Take up knitting or searching for buried treasure on beaches with your metal detector. Repeat: ALL sporting events are fixed and everyone else is out to get you.Comment -

#57Typical performance by Ron Winter and crew.
Was it fixed? No idea. Usually this crew is just anal, but there seemed to be quite a few phantom calls against the Vikings. It did cross my mind while watching this game that Winter should be sharing a cell with Donaghy.
High marks, by the way, for the zebra crew that did the Cards@Giants. They let them play, and it made all the difference.Comment -

I feel like I am lucky and will find something one day
Well..I started in my yard..I dug up like 10 rusty nails and a ball of tin foil with no luck
I quickly realized I was screwing up my lawn every time I dug something up...so no more lawn diggings
I feel like taking it to the beach one day but dont want to look like a nerd
I heard Mon mornings or the morning after certain holidays are the best time to go
I will find myself that gold deblum one dayComment -

#59Willie, you are aware that football was designed by gamblers as an outlet to give people something to gamble on, aren`t you? That being the case, it is not a stretch at all to think these games are scripted.Comment -

There will always be gamblers betting on football so why ruin a good thing and rig the game? Only thing they can rig is the refs (hence nba incident). But it wasn't refs fault for Favre for those two returns for TD. I didn't see the tripping call that cancelled out Rice's Td touch and I side with the refs on that one (because my biggest play was on the steelers) Always feels extra good to get a W from a crazy miracle.

#61It's a fact that for years Pittsburgh, Dallas and Miami have historically been the benificiary of officiating. Does that mean that the games are fixed, I kinda doubt it even though after the NBA scandal it makes you think. I agree with the earlier poster about the Pittsburgh/Seattle Superbowl. Seattle no question got hosed by the refs. It definately decided the outcome. I had Pittsburgh in that game so I collected but Seattle should have won. Don't know if anyone remembers the 1996 Superbowl
between Steelers/Cowboys but I always suspected Neil O'Donnell the Pittsburgh QB in that game. Those two picks he threw to Cowboy DB Larry Brown made him the game MVP but on both I never saw a Steeler reciever in the same area code as the throw. The guys I watched that game with all looked at each other especially after the 2nd one and said, "Do You Think". We all had the same thought. Neil O'Donnell signed next season as a free agent with the Jets so I've always wondered about him. So I guess its possible for a rougue player in the right place to affect the outcome.Comment -

#64I am not suggesting that games are Definately fixed. However, with the two powers that be, heavily involved, television (money) and sports gambling (money), it is not that big a stretch of at least MY imagination when you see some of the shit that we have all seen.Comment -
