Don't Cross the ZERO on teasers people!!!
too many people posting teasers crossing the zero today.. don't fvcken do it!!

either look at the other side for a play or don't tease it.. simple!!!

dunno why? quoting myself from another thread:

you waste alot of points (5).. from -2.5 to +2.5, there is very little value moving through these numbers.. in other words, most teams win by a filed goal or more..

oh.. and big faves lose.. what if they lose by 7? how ever unlikely... you wasted 5 by not protecting the 2 key numbers of 3 and 7..

I always look at the other side to tease in this situation.. if I don't like it, then no play..

I'm sorry but I don't agree with this. Big favs are more likely to win and/or blow out the other side than lose by 7.

yes.. but that is not what I meant..

I mean, you tease to +2.5 on a fav.. and if they lose, will they lose by 2 or 1 to cover? nope!! usually by 3 or more.. so no value in the tease..

now teasing to -2.5 on a fav is GOOD.. you cover a field goal or TD win... read up on WONG teasers for more info..

Huh? He's saying that on a standard 6-point teaser, if you cross the 0 you are paying for points that you won't need 99% of the time.

Robust, don't mean to threadjack, but can you explain why you like Houston so much this weekend? I'm planning to pick them for 1 or 2 units, but I'm looking for a reason to bump it up some as there aren't many plays I really like this weekend. Thanks.

well.. Hou is higher on my power rating, houston has the better record (yeah.. who cares.. lol) they have a better passing (8.1 yrd/att to 6.9) stats and ari can't stop their running game..

and since the better team is a dog, you jump on it quick!!

then I find out recently that Justin7 and LT Profits love this pick too...

              good luck with your decision.

the original post was for someone crossing the 0 with a 10 pt teaser i think.. they waste HALF just getting through the 0.. it was not for a 5 pt teaser..
