I am thinking the best play for tonight may be the over in the 1st Quarter. (Over 7.5) Who knows which way this game will go. MNF games already have tons of hype and this one has as much heat as a fireman putting out a burning building using gasoline instead of water. There's tons of action on both the over and under or the Packers to cover or the Vikings to cover. No matter what your take is, there has to a better way to make money tonight.
Both of these teams have spent hours and hours coming up with the best way to start this game. Both teams will script the 1st 15 plays or so and have gone over and over it. I have to think that before the clock expires in the 1st quarter that each team will have something on the board. Now you have to stop and think, will it be a field goal each or a TD each or Field Goal and a TD. If you can figure that out, then you will have yourself a winner tonight and you can just sit back and enjoy this monumental event.
My bet will be the over 7.5 in the 1st Quarter. I can easily see a total of 10 to 14 points on the board early and then a lack of scoring until late in the game.
For those of you who just won't listen to good judgment, think about this. The players on the Packers know Brett very well. They know how he thinks, what he says on the sidelines between series. Don't you think that this GB team will be ready for the Favre magic? I have to think they will. "If" and only if I were to be betting on the outcome of this game I would be on GB to cover. Most of Brett's career has been disappointing in the big game. I have always like Brett, He has been lots of fun to watch over the years. But time after time he would let his team down by trying to force things to happen. On the other side of the pillow, you have a man that has one goal in mind, to beat his old team and show up general manager Ted Thompson. Which way will this story write out. My answer is who knows. That is why you shouldn't bet it. Just go with the over or under in the 1st quarter or the full game. But stay away from the "who will win" story. Trust me, you will be much happier come tomorrow morning after you realize you shot your wad on such a hyped up even.
