Pessimism---Have you ever seen 2 pit bulls (I'm sure Vick has)....have you ever seen two pit bulls fighting in a "must-win" situation? Are ya picking up what were putting down here? I'm not trying to bust your balls and the reason I'm answering is that I believe you have an honest question.
Must win is a factor that plays into from anywhere from 3 to 103 different other factors that they believe will influence or help determine the outcome of the game. You are right that NFL teams really want to win after a loss but there comes a time when it is put up or shut up and it seems like players give 110% in situations like that (ie. Fighting for extra yardage, emotional penalties may play into the mix, coaches mixing up their playbooks a little more, and all around intensity surrounding the game).
