One pick/one bet a week#3 nfl>>why the patriots will win??
MY Record is 2-0 against and with the spread. I bet one game A week, I never bet spreads over 10, never a road team, getting 7 more points, never home steam giving up 7 more points ...I work off a spread sheet, weather,Injures, Power Ratings,Defense and Offence Analyzes, Team Coaches Comparisons and what Team has Lot Players with Flu//lol just kidding on that//lol>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> First off, these two teams haven't faced one another since 2005, so there's little to draw from their previous match-ups, so throw that out the window. However, do consider that sensational Matt Ryan has not shown any sophomore slump and in fact is now considered one of the top QBs in the league, despite having little experience.
He's won 4 of 5 versus the AFC with 7 touchdowns against only 1 INT. The Falcons are 7-0 when Ryan has a 100+ rating. Running back Michael Turner also is big against the AFC where he has 509 rush yards and 5 TDS in the past 5 AFC opponents he's faced. Wide Receiver White has 4 100-yard games in past 5 versus the AFC. Meanwhile Tight End Tony Gonzalez had a career high 147 yards the last time he faced the Patriots.
Keep in mind so far this year the Pats have given up two touchdowns to the Tight Ends. But it's not just the Offense that gets it done against the AFC. Defensive End John Abraham has 9 sacks versus New England and has 7.5 sacks in his past 5 versus the AFC.
Last week against the Jets, the Patriots were pressured all day on offense and it paid off for the Jets, so look for the Falcons to take the same aggressive approach. The big question with the Falcons heading into this season was their defense and so far, they have answered the call. Look for them to come up big again this weekend against the Pats.
Like I mentioned last week, under head coach Mike Smith, the Falcons are 11-1 when leading at the half, so definitely keep that in mind. Bottom line is that these Patriots do not resemble the Patriots of the past and conversely, the Falcons are better than ever.
It's not a big surprise that the Pats are favorites in this game, considering they are at home and their name alone still carries a lot of weight. However, there's every reason to believe the Falcons could walk into Gillette stadium and hand the Pats their second loss of the season.

It's a nice payoff for a team that could very well win on the road .However Atlanta surrendered 144 yards rushing to Carolina in a 28-20 win last Sunday and has a big hole to fill on the defensive line. Patriots' defense has been solid despite the loss of six veteran starters from last year's team that went 11-5. It has allowed an average of 265 yards in its two games ... Patriots' will cover 4 1/2 because they have not covered in last 2 games and fans that bet in those ellegal books in Boston Area need a win for there money and believe me Patriots' know the spread..
