Dallas defense has given up close to 900 yards in 1st two games, whereby Giants were able to pass the ball with no standout receivers, while Tampa ran the ball. Carolina, who played better than their ATS loss in Atlanta shows, seems to have a more well rounded offense, with Steve Smith at WR, while Williams and Stewart run the ball.
A Dallas defense like that shouldn't be laying 9 points, not to mention Barber likely won't play (although Felix Jones is probably more than adequate backup). Carolina has a better jockey, Fox over Phillips, and I would rate the quarterbacks about even. Delhomme isn't that bad, as his only turnover last week was on a last second play, while Romo seems to make mistakes even when he's not pressured much. Dallas receivers couldn't get open too well against a banged up Giants secondary, so the offense likely won't win with big plays.
It appears the Cowboys cannot be trusted and Carolina is a desperate team at 0-2 team playing Monday night. This looks like a live underdog for sure and maybe even worth a money line look. I wouldn't play Dallas in my suicide pool. Carolina +9 as well as Arizona -2 1/2 look like my plays of the week. Comments welcomed.
