A thread that isn't a Pat/Bills one... next week Bears vs Steelers discussion
So I was about to say that with even with cutler's 4 ints, the bears made it close.. and with urlacher out for the season, the line was gonna be ridiculously against the bears next week. Then I checked and completely switched my views. +3 against Pitt?? Now that I think about it, Urlacher IS out for the year and cutler vs a great D... I'm taking this one quick before it changes. Pitt -3.

Yeah this one puzzled me too. At my book right now its Pitt -3 (+105) with the bears at (-125)
that many people on the bears early? seems fishy

99% of pub is on pit. pit O is too much for bears secondary and bears will not move the ball against pits D. I jumped on this early, pit -2.5 it will be at -3 SOON!

The line opened at -1. I have to imagine that with that line, they knew that all the action would be on the Steelers. I plan to go nowhere near Pitt...

Pitt will win because Chicago has to start of 0-2 while Denver beats Cleveland next week and start of 2-0. That's how the NFL works. But for real on offense I don't see the Bears doing a whole lot. They will probably play a little better on offense than they did against Green Bay due the fact they are at home and Pitt will be without Polamalu but I think Pitt will play better on offense and pull the win out. Both teams will have the same game plan which is to take away the run but I trust Big Ben throwing to Homles and Ward more than I do Cultler throwing to no name WRs.

Here's my early picks, taking Pitt -3, Colts -3 vs Dolphins, and teasing Seattle to +8 vs 49ers and over 33

Bears are in trouble but polamalu is bigger loss than brian u. The bears will cover the 3 pts and win the game

Pittsburgh defense was very tough early on with Troy Polamalu in their. They got shredded through the air as soon as he left. Coincidence? I don't think so. Jay Cutler looked shaken going into his first game as a Bear on the road, he tried to do too much and threw three picks in the first half. After that he settled down. At home with a great ovation coming I think he will be comfortable and have success against a Pitt D that gives up nothing on the ground. The Bears defense looked pretty good. This is a tough game and I think you have to take the +3 or nothing. If this line goes up to +4.5 like I think it will by kickoff I will be all over Bears +4.5 .

                      seems like a trap,

Bear's are missing Urlacher and Pisa..... and still w/o Tillman... their D is in rough shape, horrible secondary

Back-up linebackers have plenty of experience. Hillenmeyer has started 50+ games and Roach was a starter last year before they got Pisa. Tillman played in game last night and he shut Driver down. D-line got pressure even if it was against a suspect rightside o-line for green bay. Vasher got burnt for game winner but wouldn't of started if Bowman wasn't still recovering from hamstring injury. Bowman did get in during nickel packages and will start opposite Tillman this week.

I'd be more concerned about the offense. But it can only improve from there performance against green bay which doesn't say much.
