    Superbowl
Well, new baby has had me too busy to post recently, but just wanted to throw an opinion out on the superbowl.

I only made one play, Bears ML which (obviously) lost. I firmly believe that this was the right play, however. I caught about +220 on the money line for the Bears, which means they have to win fewer than 1 in 3 times to be profitable.

As to the game, I can not recall two worse performances in the superbowl. The Colts did NOT play well. They only were the beneficiary of even worse play by the Bears. I have to think that if the Bears were able to sustain any kind of drive offensively, the Defense would not have been so worn out, and Indy would have been shut down.

This did not look like a superbowl to me, and I was sorely disappointed. I really was hoping for a good game this year. Oh, well maybe next year.

If the Colts make the playoffs next year, I am definitely going to look for opportunities to bet against them. They still have been unimpressive in the post season. They were handed games by their opposition's poor coaching and lack of offense.

The Bears, on the other hand need to improve their play calling andlearn how to eat some clock to give their D a rest. They will need some serious offensive revamping before they can win the big game.

I agree on this. The Colts will likely win their division next season, but could easily do it by going 10-6 as opposed to 13-3 or 12-4 like they are used to. Teams will be up for them every week.

First off, congratulations on the new baby.

I think the weather had a play in both teams playing like crap. Im sure if it was a dry game, it would of been a much better game.

Your right. Yesterday didnt even feel like a Super Bowl Sunday to me either.

Onlooker, thanks for the wishes. The little girl seems to think that sleep is completely optional.

While I agree the weather played a part in the poor performances, I don't think that it is the whole story. Both teams were flat doing what they do best. Bears defense couldn't run or stop the run. Peyton threw several balls that should have been picked, and the Bear team that we saw all year should have picked him off more.

I wonder if the bye week is too much before the superbowl. Teams have too much time to stew over the fact that they are "the best". Seems like the first quarter is usually pretty crappy. This game just stayed crappy.

        I'm still kind of annoyed.

Anyway, now we have plenty of time to analyze this season and prepare for the next. I am going to try to trim my number of bets and identify good money line bets more often next year.

        Best wishes to all.
