I didn't have any real opinions on the Super Bowl, but took a lot of bets on it. If I took 50 bets on the total I'd say 40 of them were on the under. Out of roughly 100 side bets I'd say 60% were on the Colts, but nowhere near the dollar amount in aggregate I have on the under (roughly $25K heavy on the under).

I was looking golden in the first half with the over and the Bears, but this 2nd half is turning into a fucking nightmare. I've spoken to a few other bookies in the area and they've been slammed with unders as well (especially considering the rain). This could get really fucking ugly...

You should have laid off all that over at the half with a shot at a middle.

    Isn't that what bookies do?

I'm not one, but you can bet your a** that's what I did.

Jay you're 100% right. I should have laid off all my overage well before the game. Even when I'm booking I'm still a gambler at heart (most bookies I know are). I certainly don't deserve any sympathy as I got greedy....

all depends Jay. What the line was, vig, slow paying clients, ect, ect. There is a lot of variables you have to take into account when your booking locally.

          Sorry about that ending.

Thought we were headed for 49 (and a middle).

If Indy got there 60 seconds quicker, maybe they kick that FG.

That was a rough one. I spoke to a buddy of mine a couple of hours ago who is much larger than me and who I often pass my bets to, and he said he got swarmed today with under bets due to the weather down in Miami, but he actually had a fair amount more Bears money come through on the side. He said he had a lot of Bears/Under parlays as well, and ended up coming out OK.

It's probably for the best for him that he didn't win with both the over and the Bears as he told me he won over $100K during the bowl season, but pissed all but $10K of it off betting himself during the first two NFL playoff weeks. That's pretty sick, and taking large volume book himself you'd think he'd be the last one to piss off his bottom line like that.

Technically at any point in the game he could've unloaded that Over with the in-running at a nice guaranteed profit
