    NFC first round bye
Can the Saints have it if they win and Green Bay loses in Week 17?

Conference record is identical now so Saints would have a better CR if that scenario transpires... Is there another tie breaker I'm missing?

This is how it works. If Green Bay wins at Chicago or Seattle loses at San Francisco (or where ever they are going to play), they are in. If Green Bay loses and BOTH the Saints and Seattle win, The Saints are #1. If Seattle wins and BOTH Green Bay and New Orleans lose, then Seattle gets #1. All 3 games involving the teams start at the same time (4:25 EST)

I believe its between GB and seattle. GB wins its locked up. If they lose and Seattle wins then seattle gets the 1 seed

The Packers weren't able to clinch the NFC's top spot, despite Sunday night's victory over the Titans, because both the Saints and Seahawks won in Week 16. They can rectify that by beating the Bears in Week 17. FPI is giving Green Bay an 82% chance to lock up the No. 1 seed.If they lose to the Bears, the Packers can still secure home-field advantage if the Seahawks lose to the 49ers. The Seahawks would have the tiebreaker between the teams if they both finish 12-4.

The Saints clinched their fourth consecutive NFC South championship with Friday's wild victory over the Vikings. Now the question is whether they'll be able to leapfrog the Packers for the No. 1 spot in the conference. The simplest way to do it will be to beat the Panthers and then have the Seahawks win and the Packers lose in Week 17. FPI gives it about a 13% chance of happening.

The Seahawks clinched the NFC West with Sunday's victory over the Rams. And they're not yet eliminated from the race for the NFC's top seed, but they would need to beat the 49ers in Week 17 and also have the Packers and Saints lose in Week 17. It's not likely, but it's also not out of the question. FPI puts the chances of it happening at 5%.
