Wanted to share my experience with all of you today because it may impact you as well, hopefully not though. Sharing to the NFL forum because this is the only place I visit on here.
Today I was on the BOL site looking around, I had $2700 in my account with $800+ pending bets. All of a sudden, I noticed my balance drop a couple times, down to about 1,000 then down to .36. I thought it was just re-adjusting for some reason so I refreshed the page and it was still at .36, then it jumped up to 1500.36, and back to .36, then again - back to 1500.36 and down to .36. This all happened within a minute or two. Shortly after, I received emails from BOL saying thank you for your deposit - 2 of those emails and 3 emails saying that a deposit couldn’t go through. Chase bank then sent me an email asking if I approved an $800 transaction and I said no so they cut off the card. Meanwhile, I’m trying to find the change password button on BOL - I couldn’t find it so I went through the “Forgot Password” process to change it.
At this same time, I received a text to my cell phone that said this: “ I logged into your betonline account and lost all your money and deposited using your credit card” then this: “ I’m sorry I’m an idiot, contact customer service they will give u ur money back and investigate the matter, I very sorry I stupud”
I was just like WTFFFFF
So after all this drama within a few minutes, I started to look through the account and saw that there were only 2 recent transactions - 2 deposits of $1500. There was no trace of a withdrawal or any type of wager, not from the initial $2700 balance or from the new fraudulent deposits.
I talked to BOL on the phone and at first they said that even if someone hacked into my account, they wouldn’t have the CVC number to my card, so they didn’t really believe me. After I asked where all the money went and why there’s no withdrawal (since that normally takes several days), they took it seriously. That’s where I’m at now, waiting for more info from them but wanted to give you all a heads up. I know BOL got hacked a couple weeks ago so maybe there’s potential there that they didn’t see or fix or left a backdoor open.
