CAR - QB Cam Newton to IR

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 5, which will end his season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Newton's Lisfranc injury was not getting better as the season wore on. He met with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson last week and didn't receive good news on his recovery. Kyle Allen continues as the starter for the team, and we may have seen the last of Newton in Carolina. He's owed a non-guaranteed $19.1 million in 2020.

JAX - QB Nick Foles to start

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Nick Foles (collarbone) will return as the starter after the Week 10 bye.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foles is healthy and ready to go against a huge divisional game in Week 11 against the Colts. He's got a big contract and it was only a matter of time, regardless of the hype around Gardner Minshew. The Jaguars are in win-now mode as they try to make a playoff push.

PHI - WR DeSean Jackson to IR

    Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (abdomen) was officially placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson's season is over and it's disappointing as he barely saw the field in 2019. Under contract through the 2020 season, the Eagles could really use his deep speed on offense next year.

MIN - WR Adam Thielen likely out Week 10

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) is unlikely to play against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thielen aggravated his hamstring injury in Week 9 and will already be declared out (according to this report) for Week 10. The team needs to be cautious with their star receiver, especially with a Week 12 bye coming up.

IND - QB Jacoby Brissett optimistic about Week 10

Source: The Herald Bulletin - George Bremer

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett (knee) said his knee is feeling better, and he remains optimistic about his chances to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's the Dolphins, so the Colts don't need to rush Brissett out there. They could easily win against Miami if Brian Hoyer was in at quarterback. We'll know more about Brissett's availability later in the week.

PIT - RB James Conner improving

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Gerry Dulac

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) is expected to 'perk up' as the week goes on, according to head coach Mike Tomlin, and Tomlin said he is 'optimistic' that Conner will play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Conner missed Week 9 but he is on the right track. We'll know more about his status on Friday. We might see more from Jaylen Samuels and Trey Edmunds again in Week 10.

JAX - WR Dede Westbrook eyeing Week 11

Source: 1010XL AM - Hays Carlyon

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (neck, shoulder) is expected to return to practice following the Week 10 bye, according to head coach Doug Marrone.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see what Westbrook can do next week in practice. We will then see what he can do with Nick Foles at quarterback as he is going to be back for the team in Week 11.

MIA - TE Mike Gesicki turning it on

Source: Palm Beach Post - Joe Schad

Miami Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki has impressed the coaching staff with an improved work ethic in practice, and he has been volunteering for reps with the scout team for additional work.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gesicki is there to help Fantasy GMs as his role is growing with the team. He's huge and can outmuscle smaller defenders. Consider him a streaming option or TE2 going forward.

OAK - RB Josh Jacobs a full go

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Oakland Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Tuesday, Nov. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A good sign for the rookie here. The Raiders are at home to take on the Chargers this Thursday night.

MIA - WR Preston Williams placed on IR

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins WR Preston Williams (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sad to see the undrafted rookie see his season end this way. He should be back in time for the start of the 2020 regular season.

SF - TE George Kittle sits out practice

Source: San Francisco Chronicle - Eric Branch

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (knee, ankle) was not participating in practice Tuesday, Nov. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The 49ers play on Monday night in Week 10 against the Seahawks. We've got to see what Kittle should do later in the week, specifically on Saturday.

PHI - WR Jordan Matthews visiting Philly

    Source: PhillyVoice.com - Jimmy Kempski

Free-agent WR Jordan Matthews (49ers) is visiting the Philadelphia Eagles for a physical Tuesday, Nov. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With DeSean Jackson injured, the team needs to find more help at the wide receiver position. Matthews is a seasoned veteran who has plenty of experience with the Eagles in most of his career.

HOU - WR Will Fuller making progress

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (hamstring) is making progress, head coach Bill O'Brien said Tuesday, Nov. 5, but O'Brien said he is still unsure if Fuller return after the Week 10 bye.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fuller might be out there on your waiver wire if somebody was frustrated by his injury and let him go. His return would give another big-play weapon for QB Deshaun Watson.

PIT - RB Benny Snell out for Week 10

    Source: Steelers.com - Missi Matthews

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Benny Snell (knee) won't play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Snell hasn't played since Week 8 due to this knee injury. Jaylen Samuels and Trey Edmunds got most of the work in Week 9 against the Colts. Mike Tomlin is optimistic that James Conner will be back in Week 10. Watch the practice status for the Steelers backfield during the week.

CLE - TE David Njoku making progress

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Marla Ridenour

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (wrist) had his cast removed from his broken wrist, and he still hopes to return this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Week 12 against the Dolphins is the earliest that Njoku could return for the Browns. He should be one of the 'designated to return' players for the Browns.

NYG - TE Evan Engram has sore foot

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (foot) came out of Week 9 with a sore foot that the team will monitor this week, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watch Engram's progress as the week of practice goes on. Rhett Ellison would get more playing time if Engram can't play.

NYJ - Le'Veon Bell is OK

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating previous reports, New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell (knee) is not dealing with a serious injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the Jets here...and for Fantasy GMs who took a chance on Bell this year. Bell had an MRI on Monday and the results were quite positive. He's getting a sizable workload but Bell has only performed like a low-end RB2 each week. We'll see if more production comes along with further playing time.
