The Philadelphia Eagles haven't lost 2 home games in the same preseason year since 2003. Ever since they have been 22-9 SU at home either sweeping or splitting home games. In their last 9 losses they lost by a margin of 17, 17, 9, 4, 2, 7, 2, 23, 6. They did however lose 2 straight home games(in the last preseason home game of 2008 and their 1st home game of 2009 preseason) if you wanna be nitpicky, but my point is Eagles are tough to beat at home regardless if its preseason or regular season and are also home underdogs to boot, a situation that the Eagles and Doug Pederson enjoy thriving under because most likely rookie Clayton Thorson will play the majority of the game which is why they are sizeable underdogs in this contest. Not saying you shouldnt bet Ravens this week but this is something you should think about.
the Ravens are on a nice run of 15 straight preseason wins dating back to 2016, the most in the modern NFL era and are going for 16th in a row. the 60's Packers won 19 straight games in preseason starting in 1959(where they won their last two remaining preseason games) then from 1960-62 they went undefeated for 3 straight years winning 17 straight games but lost their preseason opener in '63. It would be fun to see the Ravens beat this streak , but i don't see it happening. The Packers played average of 6 preseason games during that time with nearly the same roster intact so they had much more continuity going for them. the Ravens have gone thru different roster and personnel changes during that span. it would be remarkable if they can do this for 4 and a half seasons of going undefeated and get through the preseason healthy if they are really serious about this. there are better priorities.
