The Jets have the schedule-makers to thank for this playoff appearance, as they beat a grand total of ONE team all season that ended up with a winning record.
Granted that one team was these Patriots, whom the Jets beat here in Foxboro, but we actually think that will work against them here. That is because the Pats will now definitely not take this team lightly, and in all honesty the talent disparity between these clubs should result in a New England blowout if the Patriots put forth their best effort.
The biggest difference between these teams statistically is run defense, as New England is allowing just 94.1 rushing yards per game on 3.9 yards per rush while the Jets are surrendering 130.1 rushing yard per contest on a generous 4.6 yards per carry. As for intangibles, Patriot quarterback Tom Brady is one of the best clutch performers ever, and he will be that much more dangerous if the Pats establish a running game here as we expect to open up some passing lanes. In the end, we look for the Patriots to get their revenge in a big way.
