Does Vegas want NE SB cover?
Lose money short term, long term good promo for new bettors?

Or does LA cover ("Vegas never gets the SB wrong, bye bye NE")?

Not even sure they do lose money if NE covers, with all the friggin' props, and rookie buy-backs if LA takes early lead.

Once that line hits 3 and betting limits increase, the buy back will be big. Was listening to Bang the Book who had a guy on from BetDSI who claimed that 85% of the bets were on the Pats and 89% of the money were on the Pats, which is insane! Shows how off that line was.

But think of all the Future bets, teasers, props, alternative lines etc that won't hit. Vegas and other books will have a lot of liability in the end and will hope for a Rams win, but it won't stay at this inflated liability percentage. The big story is how off they were on the opening line and for the length of time it was exposed.

Now if Pats win by 1-3, there will be some pretty big losses in books everywhere.

This is why the books do so well and you guys do so poorly. The line has not budged off of Pats -2 1/2 in a week. The books could easily move the line by 1/2 point either way to balance things out if they felt that this was needed. As of now, they do not. The huge amount of sucker money (teasers, parlays, and prop wagers) coming in almost guarantees the books an overall profit. This happens every year. After the game, Vegas will tell you about their losers, so as to get you suckers to believe that they actually lost money overall. Vegas tell you what they want you to know and nothing more. You suckers buy into it.
