i dont think mcnair shot her then shot himself, too much to lose and athletes dont typically do that over a woman (shoot the woman then commit suicide)

if she did shoot him, it was probably because she wanted him to leave his wife and he said no over a period of time and the situation escalated

i just returned home from a full evening of 4th of july debauchery to hear that they released the young woman's name and the fact that mcnair had multiple gunshot wounds, and the girl had one gunshot wound to the head, with the gun lying nearby but not clearly visible.

my theory "a" above which i wrote earlier today was the correct one:

a) she shot mcnair and then shot herself

case closed. very sad story either way but we pretty much know what happened although the detectives will do their due diligence because they have to but statistically speaking, there is a miniscule chance that there was a 3rd person, ie a perpetrator, involved.

gun lying near the victim and they'll find her fingerprints all over it, gunpowder on her hand from the shot, no forced entry, she was the current gf who probably wanted him to leave the wife, he said no, thats speculation because something else could have caused the fight, but i have little doubt, probably less than 3% that she offed him, then panicked and offed herself.

boom, murder-suicide. happens all the time unfortunately.

horribly sad story, even though he was cheating on his wife and i am sure she was not cool with it unless they had an 'open marriage' or some other kind of prenuptial agreement.

You sure about that helmut? There is gun control in other countries, yet there are still homicides where firearms are used. another motive theory could be that since she got caught for DUI as a 20 yrs old 2 days ago and might have been facing some stiff charges, she flipped out, asked him to do more than bail her out, asked him to be a part of the trial or whatever and help her through the whole ordeal, he said he could not because he needed to stay out of the public eye, and then a fight ensued and she offed him in the heat of the moment

so much can happen between a man and his mistress, which is why i have a simple rule, i do not cheat on my old lady, simple as that, it keeps my life pretty much drama free and saves me from gunshot wounds, ppl can flip out at the drop of a hat

"IF" it was a murder suicide, here's my theory. She had gotten a DWI with him in the car two nights earlier. He had to break up with her and take the Escalade back fearing it would be all over the place about him being there and paying for this girl's car. When he tried to end it, she freaked out and killed him and herself.

What do you think??? They're not looking for suspects so they must think she did it.

your theory much more detailed and plausible then mine, the weird thing is that he was apparently seen by neighbors going to her condo many times, so ppl around there knew something was up, but i guess it wasnt gona get much further than the nashville border until now when the chick got a DUI so like you said he needed to end it with her and head back to mississippi to be with his family and she flipped out that he was abandoning her (abandoning her, in her mind any way)

And she was going to lose the apartment since he was on the lease and probably paying for it.

i think it was a condo bro, maybe not, but if it was, maybe he was trying to get off the title and let her have it for herself, who knows, so many things could have been discussed but it certainly smells like a young, insecure feeling girl who was freaking out about a DUI, she also has a middle eastern name so is probably of islamic background and knew her name would be in the media along with his and it would shame her family that

- she got a DUI

- she was sleeping with a married man

- she lost her virginity prior to marriage

- the man she was with is black

According to the same NashvillePost.com sources, a white woman in her early 20s, around 5-foot-4, approached McNair at the restaurant and accused him of slipping her a “roofie” a year ago.

The woman then told McNair, according to sources, that her boyfriend was going to kill him.

Roofie is a slang term for Rohypnol, a sedative dating back to the early 1970s that is used in hospitals for deep sedation, but is now a fairly infamous date-rape drug.
