PIT - Le'Veon Bell to report in a few weeks?

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is expected to report to the team during their Week 7 bye, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That date of expected return falls right before the trade deadline. Reports still indicate the Steelers are listening to offers for their star running back. Bell has softened some of this talk and is talking now of having hope to work out a longer-term deal with Pittsburgh.

CIN - TE Tyler Eifert out for season

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) will miss the rest of the season after surgery to repair a broken ankle.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Back problems have limited Eifert to only 10 games over the previous two seasons. He was off to a strong start this year and now this ankle injury cuts his season short after only four games. The Bengals turn to Tyler Kroft and C.J. Uzomah to fill the void at tight end.

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott hurting

    Source: ESPNDallas.com - Todd Archer

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (ankle, knee) is dealing with an ankle injury and knee bursitis, but head coach Jason Garrett is optimistic that he'll be able to practice and play this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Elliott is the centerpiece of the Cowboys offense, and he'll keep getting a majority of the workload. That means the Cowboys should start limiting him during the week of practice to keep him as healthy as possible.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski doesn't practice

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) missed practice Monday, Oct. 1.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gronkowski's ankle injury is considered minor. He'll be limited this week in practice if he does even get on the practice field before Thursday night's game against the Colts.

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette out again

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to miss at least two weeks with a hamstring injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs that have T.J. Yeldon can expect him to get a larger role going forward. We've seen the Jaguars lean more on Blake Bortles and the passing game, so without Fournette on the field we'd give those guys a slight bump as well.

TB - QB Jameis Winston reinstalled as starter

    Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston will replace Ryan Fitzpatrick and start at quarterback in Week 6 versus the Atlanta Falcons following the team's Week 5 bye, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzmagic is over and the team goes back to Winston. His future with the team is up in the air, and he could turn things around with strong performances from here on out. We know he's going to use WR Mike Evans and Winston loves throwing to TE Cameron Brate. However, he did have a problem connecting with WR DeSean Jackson last year. We'll see if Winston learned anything from the way Fitzpatrick was able to connect with the speedy veteran.

NYG - RB Jonathan Stewart may return

    Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants RB Jonathan Stewart (foot) may be activated from the Reserve/Injured list later this season, according to head coach Pat Shurmur. Stewart is expected to be sidelined eight weeks because of his foot injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants are all about Saquon Barkley in the backfield. Stewart would give them veteran depth...but not much else...upon his return.

SEA - RB Mike Davis will keep playing

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks RB Mike Davis will continue to mix in with Seattle's running back rotation even when RB Chris Carson (hip) returns, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis would make three in the backfield when Carson returns. He was the leading rusher for the team against the Cardinals on Sunday and not 2018 first-round pick Rashaad Penny. This complicates things for Fantasy GMs if Davis does keep getting worked into the mix.

NYJ - WR Terrelle Pryor sees little playing time

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Terrelle Pryor (groin) was on the field for only two offensive snaps during the team's Week 4 game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Head coach Todd Bowles said Pryor was dealing with a sore groin, and the team did not receive many snaps on offense. Bowles would not say if Pryor will be a big part of the game plan next week.

GB - WR Randall Cobb wasn't close

    Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) was not close to playing in Week 4 due to his hamstring injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Packers are thin at wide receiver with Cobb and Geronimo Allison (concussion) banged up. Cobb did say his hamstring is feeling better and that he has made strides in his recovery over the last couple days.

BAL - TE Hayden Hurst likely to debut in Week 5

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens TE Hayden Hurst (foot) has a 'good chance' to make his NFL debut in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns, according to head coach John Harbaugh, after returning to practice last week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens are getting a potentially big asset for their offense back with Hurst. The rookie first-round pick is a big target and can be a favorite target of QB Joe Flacco. He's a streaming option for Fantasy GMs...and we like him as a TE2 with upside.

CIN - RB Joe Mixon uncertain to return in Week 5

    Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon (knee) has missed two games with a knee injury, and head coach Marvin Lewis offered an 'emphatic 'we'll see'' when asked about his status for Week 5, according to ESPN's Katherine Terrell.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watch Mixon during the week of practice. The Bengals can continue to feature Gio Bernard if Mixon has to miss more time.

HOU - WR Will Fuller nursing hamstring injury

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (hamstring) was not removed for precautionary reasons in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts, according to head coach Bill O'Brien, who told reporters he'll 'see how it goes this week' in regards to Fuller's status for Week 5 versus the Dallas Cowboys.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fuller has been dealing with this hamstring injury all season long. Every game he's played in with QB Deshaun Watson, Fuller has scored a touchdown. They'll monitor him during the week and barring setback we'll see Fuller out there for the Texans in Week 5.

SEA - RB Chris Carson may return in Week 5

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (hip) should be able to play in Week 5 against Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carson didn't play in Week 4 against the Cardinals and that led the team to turn to Mike Davis...not to 2018 first-round pick Rashaad Penny. With Carson back in Week 5, we should see him take back the top spot in the backfield. The team likes Penny but they need to see him run with better patience and show better knowledge of pass protection.

TB - TE O.J. Howard likely out 2-4 weeks

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE O.J. Howard (knee) is expected to miss two to four weeks after being diagnosed with an MCL sprain Monday, Oct. 1, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs were double-checking the waiver wire for Cameron Brate anyway with the return of QB Jameis Winston to the starting lineup. Brate is set for a big workload with Winston already and with Howard out that only increases the times he'll get targets.

MIN - RB Dalvin Cook still bothered by hamstring

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Andrew Krammer

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) told reporters Monday, Oct. 1, that he'll need some more time before his injured hamstring is '100 percent' again.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hamstring injuries just need time to heal. Cook had a rough game against the Rams on Thursday night in Week 4. He was on a snap count in Week 4, with the team looking to get him "15-20 plays" in an effort to keep him from re-injuring his hamstring, according to comments from head coach Mike Zimmer. Cook played 18 snaps in Week 4 but will have a much larger workload when at full strength.

SF - WR Dante Pettis likely dodges serious injury

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers WR Dante Pettis (knee) is still awaiting the results of an MRI on Monday, Oct. 1, but it is believed he did not suffer any damage to his ACL in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A 2018 second-round pick out of Washington this year, Pettis is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. He's still developing as a wide receiver in the pros, but Pettis can make plays as a returner today. Well, not today as he does have this knee injury. He'll likely miss a few weeks.

CIN - WR John Ross injured?

    Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross (groin) was unable to play on the team's final drive, having suffered what appeared to be a groin injury on his touchdown reception earlier in the Week 4 win over the Atlanta Falcons. After the game, Ross said he'd 'get back with the doctors' and 'figure it out tomorrow.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ross broke open for a long touchdown and seemed to injure his groin before crossing the goal line. We'll get more information about his status as the week of practice goes on.
