I didn't have much hope on Josh Allen but he haven't showed to be ready for the pros. AJ McCarron won a BCS with Bama but he will never be a consistent or even average NFL QB. The OLine is complete trash. They lost Cordy Glenn, Richie Incognito and Eric Wood. LT Dion Dawkins is by far the best of the unit so you can imagine the level. The Shady issue will affect him and the team. If he can't go, they are screwed, as Chris Ivory and Travaris Cadet will take the carries. If he is available, still being a 30-year old RB with off-field issue and on-field dropping stats with the weight of the offense falling over their shoulders.
The defense is very nice, but they lost past year in mid-season a keypiece of the puzzle, Marcel Dareus. Once he left the team, the rushing defense dropped pitifully. They hired Lotulelei to fill the hole. But, while is a good addition, Dareus was the anchor of the line plus the soul and hearth of the defense.
The secondary is elite or almost, but you can not force so many turnovers every year.
I see another Bills season with the offense sweating blood to reach 17 points and a tired defense trying to keep them in the games.
They will suffer a lot against the run so well established power-run offenses like Ravens in the week 1 with a solid defense, should give the Bills a nightmare. Ravens are 6.5 favorites opening at home. Not an explosive offense but Alex Collins should be enough to break the Bills defense.
