I'll usually have one pick per week. I follow the CFL and the Calgary Stampeders in particular quite closely. If I don't like anything in a particular week, I won't update this thread until I have a pick to make.

BC's offensive line is terrible. Though I still like them to win the game, thirteen points is way to many to give when you're playing in the CFL where 90% of the time it comes down to the last play of the game.

Despite big numbers, Calgary's offense has been sputtering in both games thus far. Not sure they have it worked out. 31 degrees tonight in Calgary, should be a scorcher. Under is the play here.

Calgary have an amazing defense and an offense that has yet to really get going despite last week's beatdown against the Argos. Calgary are not great on the road so I expect a close game, 27-24 either way.

Calgary should open at about -7 at home next week to Saskatchewan. The 'Riders will be good value in this game. They are coming off a devastating collapse at home to Edmonton yesterday but they'll be playing in front of a very friendly Calgary crowd. They always bring it when they play in front of their fans in Calgary and I expect no different this week. Pound Saskatchewan when the number opens because it will drop.

Tough call for me this week. I really like BC -2 in Hamilton but Saskatchewan +10 is just too good to pass up, especially when I was expecting to get +7.5 at the most. The Winnipeg/Toronto total is also set ridiculously low at just 44.5.

Week Six

BC Lions -114

Saskatchewan got out of Calgary last week with a lucky lucky win. I just can't see this secondary holding Buck Pierce to under four TDs. The Lions are the play here, they're at home and they are far far better than their 1-4 record suggests. Good luck with your plays everyone who takes the time to read this every week. I wonder how long I have to keep picking winners until I get some credit in the main forum! 10-0? 11-0?

First game between these two went well over and Toronto should put up some points tonight after that HORRIBLE performance on Saturday Morning.

Tough to pick. I'll be at the game tomorrow night at McMahon Stadium. Calgary should destroy Winnipeg who are a terrible terrible team but all of our wide receivers are banged up and we've played like shit the last couple of games. I have a feeling it will be a blowout but in the CFL you never know, 90% of the games come down to the last minute so 14.5 points is a lot to give up. I really don't have a strong feeling on the spread, total or team totals, so sorry.

Alright you deadbeats, it is time for this week's pick. I'll post it up here early so you guys have time to rob your kid's piggy banks and blow it all gambling on minor league football.

Hamilton are a terrible team. In fact, there are a whole lot of terrible teams in the CFL this year. Winnipeg are probably the worst. Saskatchewan are riding high (pardon the insanely funny pun) after beating Calgary two weeks ago and losing to BC last week. They're back at home and will be eager to please their fans at Taylor Field this Sunday evening.
