Redskins | Dustin Hopkins re-ups with Redskins
Free-agent PK Dustin Hopkins (Redskins) signed an undisclosed deal with the Washington Redskins Monday, March 12.

Cardinals | Adrian Peterson to be released
Arizona Cardinals RB Adrian Peterson is expected to be released Monday, March 12, according to a source. He is due a $750,000 bonus on the third day of the league year.
Footballguys view: Peterson played for two teams in 2017 (Saints, Cardinals) and may not have much of a market for his services now that he's available. The veteran back had a cap hit of $3 million that gets cleared away now. He could still return to Arizona later at a lower price.

Giants | Evan Engram working out
New York Giants TE Evan Engram (ribs) has been catching passes from QB Davis Webb since the season ended.

Steelers | GM excited for Vance McDonald
Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said he is excited to see what TE Vance McDonald can do with a full season with the team. 'Having that type of player with us for whole offseason will only enhance their abilities to help us,' McDonald said.

Lions | DeMarco Murray visiting Detroit
Free-agent RB DeMarco Murray (Titans) is scheduled to visit with the Detroit Lions Monday, March 12, according to a source.

Broncos | Demaryius Thomas to stick around

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas is expected to have his $4 million option for 2018 officially picked up in the next day or two, according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post.

Jets | Three teams eying Austin Seferian-Jenkins?
The New York Jets 'very much wants to retain' impending free-agent TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, but there will be of plenty of competition for his services, as the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons are among the teams expected to pursue him, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.
Footballguys view: Seferian-Jenkins turned down a low offer from the Jets earlier this offseason. With a few teams interested, he may get a price tag more to his liking.

Rams | LA Rams trying to keep Sammy Watkins
The Los Angeles Rams 'are working actively' to retain impending free-agent WR Sammy Watkins, and Watkins is open to staying with the team, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.
Footballguys view: That was the plan when they didn't place the franchise tag on Watkins. Now that he's on the open market, some team out there might bid more than a the Rams are willing to pay. It's a gamble to put him out there, but the Rams are hopeful they can bring him back.

Patriots | Multiple suitors expected for Dion Lewis
New England Patriots impending free-agent RB Dion Lewis is expected to receive interest from the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts in free agency this week, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, who also mentions the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders as potential suitors.
Footballguys view: Lewis is arguably the best back on the market. His all-purpose skill set is attractive to teams, especially as the game is evolving to the middle of the field. Guys like Lewis can create mismatches every time he's on the field as a receiver. Oh yeah, he's also a capable runner between the tackles.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson to have ample suitors
Jacksonville Jaguars impending free-agent WR Allen Robinson is expected to attract interest from the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns in free agency this week, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.
Footballguys view: Robinson may have to sign a one-year 'prove it' deal like Alshon Jeffery did when he first went to the Eagles. We think the Bears would be a great match for Robinson based on his skill set and their need at the position.

Patriots | Mike Gillislee likely to return to New England
New England Patriots RB Mike Gillislee is expected to return to the team in 2018 despite being a healthy scratch for the second half of the season, according to the Boston Globe's Ben Volin.
    Footballguys view
: The Patriots can still use Gillislee as a battering ram between the tackles. James White will continue to work as a dangerous receiving weapon and change-of-pace back. Dion Lewis and Rex Burkhead may both move on in free agency.
