No joking. Brees has played about the same number of games...but has more yards, TDs, and higher YPG.

Brady had a top defense in 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2016. His D (ie: malcolm butler) makes plays when needed.

Brees has played in 3 less regular season games...but has more yards, TDs. The only stat Brady wins on is lower INT rate.

The answer to both your questions is no. Brees does not come back from down 28-3 last year. Yards and tds dont measure greatness just longevity and regular season success. brees is a hall of famer but Brady is miles ahead of him in all of the intangibles, work ethis, and winning percentage most importantly. 7 consecutive afc championships, 5 super bowl rings, 4 super bowl mvps, clutch throw after throw after throw. complete domination of the league. I hate the guy he owns my team but lets be realistic here. its not a simple plug in and he has same numbers as brady or better. Brady is the most dedicated qb and best to ever play. Rodgers (and maybe Brees) might have more natural talent-might- but they are not the quarterback brady is. This is a similar argument to the one trump supporters and apologists have with nontrump supporters or lebron fans vs lebron haters: Once youve made up your mind to dislike someone, you will make any number of irrational arguments to support your cause. The amount of Brady hate on this site is incredible. Like Montana, stats are secondary. Mental toughness and calm under pressure sets Brady apart.
Having Belichick has also been a huge factor in wins/rings.
