Wentz isnt just another Quarterback
You gotta look past just the stats on paper (which btw are amazing , 33 td 7 int)
He was arguably the best or 2nd best QB in football this year
What he does on big third downs with his decision making and ability to extend the play
reminds you of Aaron Rodgers .... he is everything for this team . Why is that ?
Because Foles only does one thing semi good , and thats throw the ball .
He is not a QB that will extend the play or make great 2nd and 3rd reads
He hasnt been a factor in this offense this year either, now it is true that he should feel more comfortable
now after being in for 3 games .
BUT ... this is the playoffs ... he will most likely struggle to
play well all game against an ATL defense which is already 9th ranked in the league even before
snapping lately on holding their opponents . They shut down a powerhouse Rams team that
has a RB that was pushing records around ..... a QB firing on all cylinders and they were shut down
How do you expect Foles to come out gunning against this ATL defense if Goff couldnt with better WR's
Plus ATl shuts down the run , one of the better ones in the league ... sure Eagles have one of the best
run defenses in the league .... but ATL also has their starting QB playing ... whos playing exceptional
lately . Do not forget who this ATL team is . If it wasnt for poor coaching by their offense coordinator
they win that super bowl 100 out of 100 times . Even sports science admits its 100% win with
dif play calling . It was over. Even with Patriots coming back all they had to do is run the ball with one
of the best field goal kickers and it was over. They are back in the playoffs , football is important to note
and keep brining up the word playoffs and thats because its a 1 game elimination . The Falcons
will not be stopped by this current Eagles team .
Rather if you like Matt Ryan or not he is loaded
with playoff experience and Julio Jones is maybe the most deadly WR in playoff history btw if you didnt know
and Jones is preaching professionalism to his teammates as well as maturity from last year. Use it
to build off of , experience is everything. Having something ripped from you changes you forever
Matt Ryans last 4 playoff games he has 11 touchdowns and 0 interceptions
The Eagles have the 17th best ranked pass defense so they can be exploited and the Falcons
running backs being dual threats can expose anyone in any single game regardless of stats
Not saying they will put up 150 rushing yards but their presence does not allow defenses to commit
to one style of play.
The kicking game is interesting because Bryant is a exceptional clutch kicker in my eyes
and the Eagles are relying on Elliott who is a rookie , only problem there is that Elliott is a fukking
savage.... the guy is so good it makes this match up a wash ... id still take Bryant due to experience and clutchness
but its certainly close.
The only things that are worrisome for me is how good Eagles have played at home this year
and the weather. OUtside of that Im really liking Falcons -2.5
Teams change quickly when certain players go down late in the season , especially at QB
There is a reason this is the first time EVER that a 6 seed is favored over a 1 seed in the playoffs
