GB - QB Aaron Rodgers' Week 16 status uncertain

    Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) is sore after taking too many hits in Week 15, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. McCarthy was noncommittal when asked if Rodgers will play in Week 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's no need to get Rodgers out there and risk any sort of injury. The team is a longshot to make the playoffs (they'll be eliminated with a Falcons win on Monday night), so we could see Brett Hundley as the team's starter for the rest of the regular season.

WAS - RB Kapri Bibbs to see more time

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim
Washington Redskins RB Kapri Bibbs will receive more playing over the last two games of the season after catching four passes for 47 yards in Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bibbs could see action as a change-of-pace back behind starter Samaje Perine. We can't really recommend Bibbs as anything more than a desperation 'what the heck' flex against the Broncos in Week 16.

PIT - Surgery likely for RB James Conner

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (knee) is expected to have surgery on his injured knee, according to a source. He should miss at least a few weeks while recovering.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Conner worked as the primary backup behind Le'Veon Bell this year. The rookie from PITT averaged a healthy 4.5 YPC racking up 144 yards on the ground. Fitzgerald Toussaint moves into the primary backup role behind Bell, and we expect the Steelers to sign a back for depth in the near future.

LAC - Austin Ekeler could play

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (hand) could still play this week despite his broken hand, according to head coach Anthony Lynn.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This contradicts reports coming in that Ekeler's hand injury has ended his rookie season. The UDFA from Western State (Colorado) has done a good job as a change-of-pace back behind Melvin Gordon. His role would be filled by Branden Oliver if Ekeler's out.

LAC - WR Keenan Allen should play

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (back) is expected to be fine after injuring his back in Week 15, according to head coach Anthony Lynn.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
That's a bit of good news for the Chargers. The news is not as clear for TE Hunter Henry who has a kidney injury and has an 'up in the air' status per Lynn.

LAC - TE Hunter Henry has lacerated kidney

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Los Angeles Chargers TE Hunter Henry (kidney) suffered a lacerated kidney in Week 15. His status is uncertain at this time.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Henry's status for the next two weeks is 'up in the air' per Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn. If Henry can't play in Week 16, it's a huge blow to the Chargers passing attack. We'd see Antonio Gates get a larger role if Henry is out.

NYJ - WR Jeremy Kerley waived

    Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley was waived Monday, Dec. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kerley just served a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on PEDs. He appeared in just eight games this year for the Jets, compiling 22 catches for 217 yards and one touchdown.

BAL - WR Jeremy Maclin should return this season

Source: The Baltimore Sun - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) is not dealing with a season-ending injury, but he probably will not be able to play in Week 16, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens host the Colts on Saturday in Week 16. Fantasy owners shouldn't be expecting much from the Ravens passing attack. It's the fantasy championship game in most leagues, and you likely have better options.

CLE - QB DeShone Kizer will remain starter

    Source: ClevelandBrowns.com - Andrew Gribble

Cleveland Browns QB DeShone Kizer will continue to be the starting quarterback, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Browns don't have a ton of options other than Kizer. They could turn to Cody Kessler, but that's not going to help or give the team a look at a player that could do more in the future. Kizer has the most red-zone interceptions of any QB in the NFL and has basically regressed over the course of the year. Expect the Browns to select yet another QB with a premium pick in the 2018 NFL draft.

ARI - QB Drew Stanton will start

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Drew Stanton will start against the New York Giants in Week 16 in place of QB Blaine Gabbert, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals have a winnable game against the Giants in Week 16, but don't get tempted to plug Stanton in as a streaming option at quarterback. He may be better than Blaine Gabbert, but that's not saying much.

BUF - QB Nathan Peterman out of protocol

Source: WGR Sports Radio 550 - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman (concussion) cleared the concussion protocol Monday, Dec. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterman is cleared but he'll just be a backup with Tyrod Taylor back in action. In a couple of appearances this year, the rookie from PITT has not shown well. He was a dynasty prospect to be intrigued with, but Peterman hasn't flashed in 2017. Peterman will need to stay healthy and perform better if he wants to stick with the Bills as a reserve in 2018.

JAX - WR Marqise Lee to be back by playoffs

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (ankle) had an MRI on his injured ankle Monday, Dec. 18, and he'll return by the playoffs, if not sooner, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lee's absence has led to the breakout performance from Keelan Cole. While Lee remains sidelined, Cole and Dede Westbrook should continue to get more opportunities when the Jaguars go to the air.

DEN - QB Paxton Lynch to start?

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Denver Broncos QB Paxton Lynch (ankle) could start the final two games if he's healthy enough to play as the team wants to evaluate him.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Broncos head coach Vance Joseph was non-committal when asked if Lynch would start against Washington in Week 16. The team will see how he practices during the week and make a decision at that time. If Lynch starts, fantasy owners should consider Broncos skill position players even riskier starters during what should be your fantasy championship.

NE - RB Rex Burkhead believed to have sprain

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, New England Patriots RB Rex Burkhead (knee) is believed to have a sprained knee and a bruise but avoided a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He'll have an MRI Monday, Dec. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll know more after Burkhead's MRI. With this injury, Burkhead is likely done for the rest of the regular season. That makes Dion Lewis an even better fantasy play as he should get a bulk of the carries and perhaps even the goal-line work that Burkhead got. James White should get a few more looks as a receiving option too.
