If Andrew Luck doesn't play, that's obviously the most important piece of the Indy puzzle and he single handedly keeps that team from being dreadful. Apart from that you have one of their best linemen in Ryan Kelly out, further complicating what was already a weakness. Now let's just throw their best defensive back Vontae Davis into the mix for good measure.

I mean if the Rams at home on opening weekend can't find a way to upend this handicapped shell of a team, then they might as way mail it in the rest of the season because it's not like the road gets much easier from there.

I guess all we need now is a pointspread?

    Obviously i'm with you here.

Over here in the UK there's still a few places offering Rams+3 and O/u 47 points, and half of them on oddsshark seem to have it at that still as well. I'm on Rams+3. I know the luck news isn't confirmed, but he hasn't thrown a pass for 7 months now, so even if he is back I can't see how he'll come back in on form. I can't see him playing, and if he doesn't they're garbage. My one worry would be someone like Marlon Mack breaking a few long runs, but can't use that as a negative really

Even if Luck is out, are we even confident Jared Goff can win this? Do we know for certain Tolzien isn't as good or better than Goff?

The best bet is to pass on this game all together

It's sad to say we're comparing a #1 overall pick to Scott Tolzien but its true.... nobody can prove that Goff is the better NFL QB.

I think Goff will have a greater semblance of a run game to lean on than will Tolzien... LA's offensive line improved in the offseason whereas Indy's actually got worse with the loss of center Ryan Kelly. Plus the absence of Vontae Davis means Goff should be able to take some shots with his new toy Sammy Watins, not to mention Kupp or the young TE's. Coach McVay will want to make a statement right out of the gate and he adds an element of surprise that the Colts lack.

Believe or not I think the Rams will be the surprise team this season.

I think we know Goff can't really be worse than Tolzien, suppose he might not be better but Tolzien about as terrible as it gets. I'd argue without luck colts could very well be worst team in the league not named jets.

I do kinda agree it incredibly tough to trust the lambs just think by elimination of worst coach I've ever seen they should be better, addition by subtraction. How much better I have no clue but certainly think they have to be better coached than previous seasons.
