Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) is dealing with turf toe, according to head coach Dan Quinn. The injury is not believed to be long-term.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Turf toe is an extremely painful injury to deal with...or try to play through. We should see Jones limited in practice all this week. At this time, Quinn expects Jones to play in Week 14 but it's too soon to know for sure.

NE - WR Danny Amendola to miss time

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 13, and the team's plan is to have him ready for the playoffs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That means Amendola could be shut down for the rest of the regular season. A high-ankle sprain can linger if not given enough time to heal. With Chris Hogan back in action, the Pats offense won't miss a beat without Amendola.

DEN - Denver claims RB Justin Forsett

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent RB Justin Forsett (Lions) was claimed by the Denver Broncos Monday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Forsett has had an odd year to say the least. He was cut by the Ravens after camp, but the team brought him back. They later cut Forsett and the Lions picked him up. The Lions just cut him last week, so the Broncos have now picked him up. Forsett had a career-best 1,266 yards rushing under Gary Kubiak when the Broncos head coach was the OC of the Ravens in 2014. Watch to see if Forsett can outperform a disappointed Devontae Booker in the Broncos backfield.

    Source: ESPN - Britt McHenry

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Cecil Shorts (knee) tore his right ACL, MCL, PCL and dislocated his right knee in a Week 13 win over the San Diego Chargers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This injury could end his career. Shorts has been productive at times during his pro career, but he could not shake the injury bug. During six years in the NFL, Shorts has 229 catches, 2,979 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.

CLE - 'All signs point' to RG3 starting

    Source: ESPN.com - Pat McManamon

Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III (shoulder) is likely to get at least one more chance to prove he can be the team's quarterback of the future and 'all signs point' to it happening over the final month of the season, according to ESPN's Pat McManamon.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Never say never, and Griffin looks to be on track to play again for the Browns. This could be a four-game audition for Griffin as the Browns are just looking to the future. If he impresses, there's a chance he could stick around in 2017. He has a cap hit of $9.25 million next year with only $1.75 million in dead money.

CHI - WR Marquess Wilson injured

    Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Adam L. Jahns

Chicago Bears WR Marquess Wilson (groin) left the game Sunday, Dec. 5, in the first quarter with a strained groin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

TEN - RB DeMarco Murray on the field Monday

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (foot) participated in practice Monday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Titans had a bye in Week 13 as they prepare to face the Broncos in Week 14. Murray should register a RB1 performance against a weak Broncos rush defense, and we may see rookie Derrick Henry put up good flex numbers.

Source: The Associated Press - Mark Long

TB - RB Charles Sims expected back this week

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Charles Sims (knee) is expected to be activated from the Reserve/Injured list before the team's Week 14 game against the New Orleans Saints, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sims is an important handcuff for Doug Martin owners to add off the waiver wire if he's out there. He'll get worked in behind Martin as a change-of-pace back. The return of Sims will take away some snaps from Jacquizz Rodgers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

NFL - Leonard Fournette given high praise

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

LSU RB Leonard Fournette has officially declared for the NFL Draft Monday, Dec. 5. Two anonymous high-level evaluators told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Fournette is better than Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley. Fournette is considered by many pundits to be a top-five draft pick next year.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fournette is one of our favorite RBs in college. He's a big, swift and physical running back who gets stronger as the game goes on. Fournette's size, speed, and power combination reminds some in the scouting community of Vikings RB Adrian Peterson.

KC - WR Jeremy Maclin uncertain for Thursday

    Source: Chiefs.com - B.J. Kissel

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) continues to make improvement from his groin injury, but head coach Andy Reid suggested he didn't know if Maclin would be able to play Thursday, Dec. 8, in a Week 14 game against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chiefs would get a boost to the offense with Maclin back in the lineup. At this time, Maclin is trending in the right direction. We'll know more about his availability on Wednesday. This is a huge, must-see game on Thursday in the league's toughest division.

CAR - Too much too soon for WR Kelvin Benjamin?

Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed

Carolina Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin has scored only once since Week 4 and failed to catch more than three passes in any of his last three games. When asked about the team's top receiver Monday, Dec. 5, head coach Ron Rivera said, 'Maybe we did get him out there too soon, too much (after last year's torn ACL).'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The season hasn't gone the way the Panthers wanted, but it will be nice to see Benjamin jump-started late in the year if at all possible. The Panthers are evaluating for next season, and Benjamin can be a big part of the offense if at full strength.

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews expected back soon

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

PHI - Dorial Green-Beckham diagnosed with oblique contusion

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles WR Dorial Green-Beckham (oblique) suffered an oblique contusion in a Week 13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He is not expected to practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, but should be back in time to play versus the Washington Redskins in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Jordan Matthews, there was an opportunity for Green-Beckham to do more. The injury held back his numbers against the Bengals, but it sounds like he'll be able to play against Washington.
