    Letdown @ Tampa?
    Emotional Win Letdown

    Remember in an earlier thread a poster was asking: "Are you a modern capper or old school?"

    Well this is, (IMHO) an old school tactic, and I'm looking for some opinions on it.

    Its called the "Emotional Win Letdown Theory." I'm taking a chance exposing this (LOL) a couple days before the game, as it could ruin the odds (again LOL)

    ATL, as everyone knows, squeaked out an emotional, 1 pt win, over the perennial NFC powerhouse Packers. (saw Clay Mathews kid undressed and on the sidelines)

    Now they're traveling, against a much weaker foe, as a rd fav! IMO, this fits the bill!

    Have seen it happen many times over the years, but can only, at this time, remember this incident.

    MJ and Co. beat the Bad Boys of Motown (remember MJ: "They was tryin to hurt me.") This was the DET team of McFilthy and McNasty fame (or infamy) {Jeff Ruland, Rick Mahorn}

    The powerful Bulls then traveled to the lowly T-Wolves as a 13 pt fav, and suffering from the Emotional Win Letdown Theory" just barely beat the hapless Wolves.

    This angle doesn't come around too often, but as I can remember, it hits about, oh I'd say, 68% of the time.

    Are methods like this outdated, or are there any seasoned cappers who realize their value?
