What's up yall. Been doing pretty well through two weeks so I'm just starting a thread just to keep track of my picks. This year I've gone all in on becoming borderline obsessed with the NFL to do my best at making money in 2016. This includes watching replays on Game Pass every week, as well as listening to a disgusting amount of NFL content while at work. Some of the podcasts I listen to are Bet The Board (a must), Around the NFL, and Bill Simmons (especially the Friday podcast with former Patriots 'consultant' Michael Lombardi, who drops knowledge).
Also will be posting random thoughts and feels about teams and would love to just generate some discussion, so don't be shy.
That being said, first pick:
Jets +3 @ Chiefs
Chiefs were a team going into the year that I really liked, however through two games they have looked very mediocre. Last week vs. Texans without 2 starting OLineman (LDT & Ehringer), Chiefs got brutalized by the strong Texans defense, giving up 4 sacks. Now playing Jets who have one of the best D-lines in the game and it looks like Ehringer and Jah Reid are out, with LDT questionable, a bad matchup for the Chiefs. Also Chiefs offense looked very vanilla as they always do, a lot of WR screens that go no where and minimal shots downfield. Though I don't think Charles being out is a big loss at all because both running backs West & Ware are very nice imo. Jets balanced offense looked great last week vs. a bad Bills team, with Fitz throwing some dimes and Matt Forte being the workhorse. Brandon Marshall is a game time decision so that would be a big loss to monitor, but Quincy Enunwa is emerging as a capable wideout. I think this week is going to be a high scoring game as well, so most likely throwing some on the over of 42 too.
