Arizona to win Superbowl +370..

if you think Arizona will beat Carolina, is it dumb to think they can win the whole thing? I mean if they win in Carolina odds are already leaning your way.. its almost at 4 to 1. I think they'll match up well with Denver or new England? dontcha think? would actually prefer new England over that Denver defense in the superbowl? or would you prefer peyton?

screw taking them to beat Carolina, just take'em for the whole thing.. the odds are decent

Not dumb to think, but it's a stupid bet simply because you can get better odds by starting an open parlay with them on the ML this weekend and then filling it with them on the ML in the Super Bowl. They'll be dogs in both games, and the parlay should pay at least +400. Plus this gives the added benefit of reevaluating that Super Bowl bet before committing to it.

For example, let's say the Cardinals beat Carolina, but Carson Palmer tears his acl in the fourth quarter.

One, you're probably not gonna want to have a dollar on the Cardinals winning the Super Bowl. This strategy allows you to avoid that bet. And two, even if you did still like the Arizona super bowl ML, you can be damn sure it'll jump way up as the line on the super bowl will have the Palmer-less Cards as at least seven point dogs. In this second scenario, you'd have +370 odds on a two game ML parlay where the actual ML of just the second game alone would be close to that by itself.

I think Arizona has been the best team in the nfl all season long so I certainly don't hate any bet that has them winning it all. But the math simply isn't here for this particular bet. You can do better by getting creative.

Should pay roughly 7:1 if you open parlayed it, probably more as that opening line of New England -1 over the Cardinals will almost certainly go up before the game. So still, looks like you'd get better odds doing it on your own.
