My gut tells me at the very minimum Pitt covers, due in large part to eventual Manning meltdown, refusal to pull him until it's too late.
Seems crazy, given Den D, but still...

How is Pitt going to score? Big Ben can't throw a ball over 20 yards and they have no running game.

And yet the lines are basically -7 +100 meaning oddsmakers are saying Den MIGHT win by 7. Shouldn't they win by 17? Vegas not in habit of handing out stupid lines and losing tons of cash.

Do you know how to read a Vegas line? It's a fair question given your reply.

Ironic, that's been the story about Peyton and Denver all year.
PIT ran the ball fine @Cincy last week. We don't know how effective Ben's arm can be. Live bet is the answer.

Gonna write this in easy to understand words. Den is barely 7 pt fave, not 8+. Strange, given Pitt injuries, Den having 2 starting QBs and a stout D, not to mention home field. Yeah Manning could shit the bed, but you think Pitt's gonna run all over Den D?

The real question is "Does the market actually have a grasp on the injury situation"? I believe the answer is NO and therefore, I am staying away from the line.

The main reasons the Broncos are only a TD fav. are a) Pitt injuries are not confirmed, b) Lots of punters hate to back Manning in playoffs, and c) home field means sh.t. So what is so strange about the line ? This is playoffs after all, very rarely you'd see a line above a TD. Line-reader, my as.s.

if big ben is as hurt as he states.. I don't see him takin the top off.. if Denver can play the check down plays well, Denver should be in good shape..

Not arguing. Just waiting for him to drop some more knowledge. I never knew that the line tells us exactly how the game will play out and who will cover. It's fascinating.

This line makes the least sense in terms of management that I've maybe ever seen. No total, ever (don't even see one now really), but a clear 2.5 to 3 days of Denver at -5.5 to -7, then off the board for full 2 days or more ... that yelled "no one really knows what's going on" and in the back of my mind I think we all know Big Ben won't be 100% and that Brown was like 90% or higher likelihood of not playing ...
I'm honestly thinking of Pitt because I think if the points are high enough, and they will continue to rise, it might be worth it to go against Noodle

I took Denver at -6. Not sure how a Steelers team without Antonio, without Bell, without Deangelo, and possibly without Ben (or with a less effective version of him) stays within six of any playoff team. Healthy, these guys lost to Baltimore in a must win game, looked shaky against Cleveland in a must win game, and needed a mental breakdown by Cincy to win that game. For me, it's over. They got very unlucky with these injuries, but it's over. I'm not sure how you talk yourself into Landry Jones keeping this game within a touchdown.

I agree with you, but remember when Pittsburgh beat Arizona w/ Vick and Landry Jones earlier this year? I do, because I lost a shitload of money on that game lol.

A lot of your posts biased against Pittsburgh. You down-talked them a ton going into the Cincy game. They "needed" a mental breakdown only after a comeback that was spurred by Big Ben going out of the game. They owned Cincy badly for 3 quarters in their joint until that happened. Still outgained them handily for the game. And of course, they handed Cincy quite a bit in the mental breakdown dept. themselves, being penalized for more than 140 yards, way more penalties than Cincy. They were and are simply better than Cincy, at least with AJ at the helm, and they proved it by beating them in Cincy twice in five weeks.
That said, I agree with you about this week. With no Brown and Ben limited, they will need a minor miracle. -6 is a good line to have.

Denver is gonna kill them. Hurt Roth and no brown? I dont see how steelers win here or keep it close. They have no defense.

I like POOLSIDE, but he should admit he was on the wrong side here. I'm glad he cashed, though
Let's face it, that was probably a luckier potential cover than Alabama. Clemson and Pitt even injured were superior.

Guys, I legitimately did not watch a single snap of football this weekend. Too busy spending time with this South African bombshell. If this was a lucky cover, I'll take your word for it and be the first to admit it. But honestly, I haven't watched any of the game.

Not yet. Trying to lock this one down ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I listened to the end of the Packers game on the radio. Brutal five minutes to only have audio for.
