Raiders punt on 4th and 2 ????

How can a team who is having trouble generating scoring drives and down by 2 TD opt to PUNT on 4th and 2 around midfield with a few minutes left, rather than going for it ?? Are the raiders more confident in their defense than they are in converting on 4th and 2? Even if they forced the chiefs to punt, they're not likely to find themselves in a better situation than that 4th and 2 that they relinquished. Just plain dumb.

Moneyline parlay? Raiders didn't win outright, though.

As for the OP's question... I think Carr's banged up hand from a play or two earlier had something to do with it. They had to make a quick decision, Carr was grimacing, and they didn't want to send McGloin out there for a crucial 4th down. But still, I agree, they should have been more aggressive. There's really nothing to lose in that instance... last game of the year, go out with guns ablazing.

That was a great backdoor cover though. It felt like it had slipped away in the 4th and then, just like that, Raiders get new life and capitalize on it. I've been on the other side of those type of games many times before.. Felt great to get the win this time.
